The Circle, a new supergroup featuring singer Sammy Hagar, bassist/vocalist Michael Anthony along with drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson, have confirmed the release of a live album called At Your Service.
It will be available on May 19th in physical and digital formats, after being recorded during a concert last year.
The live recording features a selection of tracks from all three musicians’ careers. Those who preorder the album on iTunes will receive an instant download of Poundcake
Hagar last year talked up the benefits of being part of a live-only band, saying: “The Circle is so satisfying that I don’t even see a reason to make a record. We have so many great hits that we can choose from our catalog – to make a record would just be kind of a waste of time.”
He hasn’t given up on making a third album with Chickenfoot, featuring Joe Satriani and Chad Smith alongside himself and Anthony. But he recently said, “It’s just too much work right now. Everybody’s got so much to do.”
At Your Service track list:
1. There’s Only One Way To Rock
2. Rock Candy
3. Good Times Bad Times
4. Poundcake
5. I Can’t Drive 55
6. Mikey Bass Solo
7. When It’s Love
8. Little White Lie
9. When The Levee Breaks
10. Jason Drum Solo/Moby Dick

Definitely picking this one up!
I wonder how long this supergroup trend will continue. I suspect until after the economy recovers. I wish these guys the best of luck though. I would l to see a supergroup comprised of only members ousted from other groups, to be called “The Defrocked”.
It’s not the economy. It’s people no longer buying albums. With respect to that, the music industry and business model of the 70s and 80s will never exist again.
The Red Rocker, Mad Anthony, Vic Johnson, and Jason Bonham, now that’s what you call a SUPERgroup! I’m still buzzing from seeing them in Atlantic City last August. Just straight up ass-kicking Rock ‘N’ Roll! No rap sh*t, no bullsh*t, the way music is supposed to be. Cheers! 😉
Hey Doug R, it’s so cool that Sammy can still sing great. Still not convinced about Vic Johnson, but hopefully when I catch them live in the Bay Area I will be. I am going through all of my records and I got to Standing Hampton last night, great record, maybe a little too slick sounding, that’s maybe. But, what threw me was the way he closed it, it just doesn’t fit the record to close out with Janis Joplin, and his writing was so strong at that period I really wanted to hear another original.
Agree Shannon, I love Joplin, but Sammy should have included that cover somewhere else. But nonetheless, still one of my favorite albums! 😉
Yeah, I was really impressed with it….it went in my “good” records pile, which, as of now, is only 1/3 of my collection. But…that cover just comes out of nowhere, it doesn’t fit the record.
I’m more excited to pick this up than the Van Halen live album! Great setlist! Vic’s a great guitarist and more people need to realize that. And Jason Bonham is my favorite drummer, period. Jason can play technical, he can play simple, he can he aggressive but no matter what he does it always fits the song perfectly. Add all that to what the Red Rocker and Mikey do and it’s the ingredients for a powerful band.
Anyone else think Satriani is a little ticked at seeing this? Seemed like he really liked to be in Chickenfoot.
And yes I know Chickenfoot is about scheduling… Just saying Satriani woulda liked to do a new chickenfoot albim this year.
Everybody is in 100 bands it seems these days, hard for anything to have legs
