GENE SIMMONS SAYS KISS IS PLANNING A “THREE YEAR LONG TOUR” STARTING IN 2019

Gene Simmons has revealed that KISS are planning a massive three year world tour beginning in 2019.

“It will be a three year long tour, starting in January 2019,” Simmons told Sweden’s Expressen newspaper. “We will go to all continents, though exactly where I can’t tell you now.”

In 2017, Simmons revealed that the band could bring the curtain down on their career with something that “rocks the planet.”

He told Glasgow Live: “We’re not going to be able to do this into our 70s – and I’m 67 now. But we’ll do it for a few more years, and when we think it’s time to go, we’ll go.

“We’ll do it the right way, with a big party. I’d like to think we’d do something that rocks the planet, something big and worldwide – and maybe free.”

Speaking to Expressen, Simmons also revealed that he wants to collaborate with members of Swedish pop superstars Abba.

“I want to write songs with [Abba pianist] Benny Andersson,” he said. “I am sure that in a few hours at a hotel in Stockholm we could begin to shape something. An hour is all you need to find a feel for a song to begin with. I’d be sitting with a guitar and Benny at a piano.”

As much I hate this glorified tribute version of KI$$, my wife and I are anxious to take our son to witness the spectacle of KI$$ in concert. We want him to be able to one day say he saw all these cool iconic rock bands and give him a little bragging rights.

I realize Paul’s voice isn’t what is used to be, and who knows how his voice will hold up for a three year long tour. And I expect the setlist will be essentially the same ol’ tired setlist they’ve been playing since the 1996 reunion. But Gene and Paul are clearly nearing the end as performers in KI$$, so this may be the only opportunity to see them one last time.

    – and maybe free? FREE?? REALLY??? Well Unholy sh-t! Shock Me! I think I need some Cold Gin! Gene can’t be serious, I mean there has to be a catch, just curious as to what it is. Anyway, with all this talk about KISS working with ABBA, now I’m in the mood for some Swedish meatballs and some KISS Kola! 😉 LOL! Hey, whatever works! Cheers.

Three years? Really? Delusional Paul will be lucky if he could cut the mustard at rehearsal. I am a lifelong Kiss fan (1976) that is all about the original four…if this is the last tour, we had better see Ace and Peter. Furthermore, Paul Stanley has been charging full price for a half assed vocal performance. Sorry, this isn’t cool. At all. It’s frigging insulting is what it is. “There’s nothing worse than staying too long at the party”, right Stanley? People still go see them, this is the problem. If I asked you “hey, wanna buy a ticket to see a band whose singer isn’t really that good at all anymore, 125 bucks”, would you say aw hell yeah let’s go, here’s my money! No, nobody sane would do that. Paul Stanley owes us longtimers a fucking apology for being embarrassing and not bowing out with the integrity of Kiss intact. Should have happened in 2001. This shows you exactly how woefully delusional these guys are, a THREE YEAR TOUR? They actually think they can do this with Paul sounding like shit. Just…wow. And if it is indeed The End Of The Road and it’s with the current lineup, no thank you. What a joke.

Paul doesn’t owe you or any “long timers “ anything. If you don’t want to go see them perform, then don’t. Personally attacking him shows you are not a fan. Who are you to tell Paul and Gene that they have stayed at the party too long? If performing is what they want to do with their lives, then they can do it for as long as they want. I get tired of you sanctimonious so-called fans who still want to live in 1976. I bet you are old, too, and don’t look and sound the same.

i also am a life long kiss fan,i have worked with all of them, but as much as i wish im not saying this,i think i would pass on this .these guys were and kind of are still such a big part of my life, but pauls voice is not only hard to listen too now,but it just makes me sad when i hear him trying to sing.he was once mighty and i was so proud to call myself a kiss fan..but we all get old,i used to be able to sing well too.but now im 55 i cant carry a tune in a bag, never mind sing and expect folks to pay to hear me.its like paul now just does not hear himself or just does not give a fuck.all his years of bragging about when we say you wanted the best you got the best, well what happened.now i go see bands like alive 75,and i pay 35.00 and get 2 hrs of great sounding and looking trib kiss band,so for me my last kiss show was on the 2012 tour….

Gene $immon$ and FREE don’t go together.

Three years? Paul’s voice can’t last THREE MINUTES!

And unless Ace is back in the band, how is this different from the KI$$ Tribute Band Tour the band’s been on for the past 14 years?
