Have fun, Eddie! I hope the money actually goes to the people it is intended for!

Good point. I mean there’s no reason to be skeptical with a Wall Street Fundraiser. The money will probably be diverted in order to buy off some politicians so the greedy can even become moreso. After all when it comes to greed and $$$ there’s never enough. Maybe there’ll be a huge party with plenty of high priced call girls! Might be able to meet some senators or other high ranking hypocrites.

Ok Eddie, I understand how the money is going to a good cause, but if all this boils down to is a fundraiser, you might as well have Justin Bieber headline. The sad thing is he would put more rears in seats and certainly raise more money and awareness, considering Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray is the headliner!? The irony here is it would be a coin toss as to who would be heavier and rock harder in this situation. I mean Jesus Christ, some alt-pop, bubblegum band from the 90’s that hasn’t seen as much as the light of day since. I imagine the only money they’ll raise while they’re up there are the hordes of pennies that will be thrown up on stage. I mean this is a great site and I love TMS, but man, I’m thinking maybe you should focus on teaming up with Bono and help him feed the children of Africa or something since your heart and humanitarianism has clearly left your mind and balls somewhere nowhere to be found in this. Come to think of it, with your clout in the hard rock/metal world, one would think you could organize another benefit on the scale and likes of a Ronnie Dio’s Stars project that hasn’t happened in 30 years? That’s something we all could get behind without selling our souls or just plain selling out.

Very sad you just don’t get it Nic. I am not running this. I was asked to host for a GREAT cause. Sorry, I don’t run the music world and when I’m asked to help out something that benefits Wounded Warriors and I can I do. Some things bigger than personal taste… wow.

I, for one, am very proud that Eddie is helping out our Vets, a cause very close to my heart.

God bless all the factions of our military and I thank each and every one of them for their service.

Wall Street Rocks is not Run by any of the “Big Wall Street Firms or banks”..it is a collaboration of employees from the financial, technology and entertainment industry who are passionate about supporting heroic Americans who serve our nation, such as military veterans, first responders, and relief aid workers. They also have a passion for Live music. WSR has reached out to many other Headline Acts, all of which came along with 100k + price tags for their participation. I am sure JB would’ve been 10x as much..
Sugar Ray and Eddie Trunk jumped on board to support a good cause , Simply because they where asked..And wether you are into Metal, Rock, Pop-Alt or whatever.. its not all about who performs but why they are performing.. And frankly with Eddie Trunk hosting , it doesn’t get any more Rocking…
I’ll see you on the 2nd Eddie..

Dear Critics – I am the front man for RIFFHANGER, one of the competing bands. While I can appreciate your disdain for Wall St, I can assure you of the following: 1) This event is being sponsored by good people who volunteer their time to do good things. 2) I specifically requested Eddie to host this event because I know he brings people together — if you’re a real fan (like I am) you will love the fact the Ed is supporting our troops, and helping us build to scale the types of events that eventually will raise $1million in a night. 3) Believe it or not, RIFFHANGER is a real all original heavy rock band that you will enjoy as much as going to see Soundgarden, AIC, Sabbath, etc… and yes, quite frankly, we are that good. So, why not put your money where your mouth is, and buy a fully tax-deductible ticket to the show and support our Veterans on Veterans Day… instead of bashing the people who want to help them. PS – Riffhanger has several family members in the service (past and present). All of them support what we are doing for the cause.
