Trunk, This is not a tour. This is 2 wks of shows all on the east coast. Ace can talk 8 yrs of sobriety sll he wants. We all know that is pure BS. And u will not let Dana post this factual comment.

A tour is a string of dates regardless of how long. I did a book TOUR for my last book that was 10 cities. If you pay any attention to what I actually say I have said MANY acts do not tour at this level. They do weekend dates. Touring in the traditional sense with buses and large crews costs too much. As for your comment about Ace’s sobriety I have no idea what that is based on except you being a hater. Sad that you can’t accept the change the guy has made and that doesn’t work for your agenda. I assume you must know him personally and have some proof to make such a statement? And what that has to do with tour dates, which only revolve around offers and opportunity, is even further out there in whatever reality you want to live in.

I would have to agree that Ace being sober is doubtful. Why is his speech so slurred? A lot of dope fiends consider sobriety differently than what it truly is. Ace still drinks, no doubt

So sad people can reach these conclusions based on nothing when they don’t even know the person. Ace ALWAYS talked like that! Not to mention there is some residual impact from years of abuse. Ever see people shake even though they are now sober? Because of his personality people ALWAYS thought Ace was high even at times he wasn’t! I know the guy personally. Last time he fell off was 8 years ago and he called all his friends including me to talk about it as part of his recovery. Regardless if you like the guy or not the simple truth is he has been sober 8 years.

      Frank,

FYI, Eddie has NEVER told me to delete a comment, ever. Unless it violates our rules, meaning it contains racial slurs, is of a threatening nature or abusive in anyway, they are all posted. If a comment is deleted by me, I do so of my own volition. Eddie also deletes comments when appropriate. Please do try and pass assumptions off as truth. Thank you.

Gene Simmons reports that a replacement guitarist was used instead of Ace for the recording of Ace’s 78 solo record. Ace is really rockin the big houses on this tour. I hope he hits Fred’s Chicken and Waffle house in Delaware.

Hope he adds dates…so far this is not a tour, as 11 dates hardly makes a tour…if he doesn’t add dates how can these few shows possibly put any real money in his pocket, not to mention there will be zero impact on his cd sales…not sure who advises Ace but they are not taking any advantage of his resurgence in the public eye recently with the RRHOF, or his making a great new album…this makes no sense…

Very few artists actually do big tours unless major acts. Most do weekend fly in dates. Any dates are always based on offers from promoters and how much the artists wants to do and what he will play for. When most artists reach their mid 60’s they don’t want to commit to many dates at one time, especially when at a club, theater level.

I get it…just hope he doesn’t wait too long between legs of the tour because the “iron may not still be as hot as it is today”…hope he comes to South Florida too, HardRock would be cool!!

His solo career is so low, his record company has resorted to comparing it to members that never attempted a solo careers, just released solo albums as side projects. Notice how the articles never never claim he sold more than VV ? I’m guessing these are test dates, if they sell well, more will be booked. If they don’t sell, Ace fans will just claim he just doesn’t want to tour that much.
