11/17: JOE LYNN TURNER, CARMINE APPICE, NUNO TONIGHT, YEAR END POLL

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Back live tonight 6-10P ET/3-7 Pacific on SiriusXM channel 39 TRUNKNation (Hair Nation) with music and talk that rocks. Joining me in studio in the 9P hour will be Carmine Appice and Joe Lynn Turner to talk about their new band Rated X. Calling in live at 8P will be Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt. Nuno is one of my favorite players and Extreme announced today a 12 date US tour playing Pornograffiti. We will discuss that and more.

Please check out the poll added to this sites home page. If you have listened to my FM show for a long time you know I end the year with theme shows. This year YOU pick 3 bands among the biggest on my show every week to have an entire 3 hour program dedicated to their music! I’ll keep the poll up until the end of Nov then announce the 3 bands 12/1 and the dates their shows will air. So let your voice and favorite band be heard and cast your vote now!

Just added an appearance in New Bedford MA 12/20 hosting the charity event Rock 4 Xmas. More details soon.

If in NJ area please come to Dingbatz in Clifton Thanksgiving Eve for a charity event for my friend guitarist Karl Cochran. Joe Lynn Turner, Pat Travers, Steve Brown of Trixter (and recently Def Leppard) and many more will be rocking to help Karl. Hope to see you there.

Since I get asked daily (and thanks for caring!) I will end every blog with this: New TMS Feb 2015.

Black Sabbath and hoping you will focus on other singers besides Ozzy and Dio. It was a “slap in the face” that the band members in AC/DC did not come on the air with you on Monday’s show when they were down the hall. Maybe not their fault, but they should have insisted to their “handlers” that they could spare 15 minutes. Lame.

Of course, I voted for the mighty Priest 🙂

I would say the first two hours devoted to Priest and the last hour, John Sykes. Well, that’s my dream show. 😀

    Dana from here 🙂

I’m sure we all know who Louis voted for, LOL! 😉

All 8 are great, so make everybody happy and dedicated 1 show to all 8 weeks in a row! Just a suggestion. 🙂

    • Doug R. on

OOPS! Almost forgot, better make it 9 weeks, add Whitesnake/Blue Murder/Sykes, sorry Dana! LOL! 😉

    • Dana on

      No worries Doug,

I know you would never mean to slight me ever, or the awesome Sykes 🙂

      D 🙂

Dana, I voted for Sabbath, but now that you mention Priest, I may have to change my vote 😉 \m/

    • Dana on

      Trapper,

You and I are in sync with both Priest and the hate mail.

      Cheers,
      D 🙂

I voted for Priest too. I didn’t even think about it that long, it was a no-brainer.

      😀

I wanted to vote for Motley Crue, but there wasn’t an option.

    • Doug R. on

Great option, o.k. make it 10 weeks! 🙂

AC/DC has a high powered P.R./Management firm….Ed asks the right questions. Gene & Paul are wussy to avoid and AC/DC would be in a bullseye on Rudd and Meth, was Malcom in bad shape the previous tour. These firms like the “Tell us about the first single” slop. Coburn on Rockline is the classic clown.

    • Eddie on

I have had AC/DC on TV and radio shows many times and will again soon. Yes I would ask those questions and unlike some acts I don’t think for a minute they are dodging me. Brian and I talked briefly yesterday. But you are 100% right that some acts and their handlers absolutely won’t go near certain interviewers because they are going to ask uncomfortable questions. AC/DC doing Stern tomorrow so clearly they are not one of those bands. Jimmy Page would not do Stern.

    • Lee on

But when you interviewed Axl on TMS you didn’t ask the “tough questions” concerning the breakup of GNR and his feud with Slash.

    • Eddie on

Not sure how many times I need to address the circumstances around that interview but I am not going to rehash it again. Suffice it to say I would love a do over, even though I don’t know how much more needs to be said that hasn’t been about that subject.

Eddie, Vince knows Ace very well and has video of your boy getting totally wasted. It will be posted and then you can eat s–t

    • Eddie on

Funny how “Vince” and you have the same exact email address? What a complete fraud waste of time you are. You are done posting your nonsense here with your many fake names on the same email. Disturbing someone can have such a baseless agenda against someone they don’t know and spend so much time on someone’s site they don’t like.. Later Dick, Vince, or whatever other fake names you want to try and pretend to be with your fake stories.

    • Dana on

      Dick,

You really live up to your name. I am so “proud” of the metal “fans” on this site lately, and it only seems to be getting worse. 🙄

Had I seen this vindictive comment before Eddie, I would have trashed it. Holy crap, people are being beheaded in the world, and other atrocities, and all anyone cares about is what a jerk Ace is, grow up!

I believe Axl had severe restrictions on what could be talked about or asked in the interview.

    • Brian B on

Too bad. Howard is a huge fan of Zepplin.

    Hi Eddie,

I’m getting an extra ticket to the extreme show on LI (1/24). Do you want to go? I’d be honored.. or are you going to do that whole VIP/I know Gary/Nuno thing, and hang out backstage?

    • Eddie on

Thank you for the offer but I rarely attend shows on LI when they all also play in NJ minutes and less traffic and tolls from my house. I will be at Extreme in NJ 1/20 at Bergen PAC

    • mike s on

I’ll even pick you up and bring you home, and buy you a shirt!
