11/17: JOE LYNN TURNER, CARMINE APPICE, NUNO TONIGHT, YEAR END POLL

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Back live tonight 6-10P ET/3-7 Pacific on SiriusXM channel 39 TRUNKNation (Hair Nation) with music and talk that rocks. Joining me in studio in the 9P hour will be Carmine Appice and Joe Lynn Turner to talk about their new band Rated X. Calling in live at 8P will be Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt. Nuno is one of my favorite players and Extreme announced today a 12 date US tour playing Pornograffiti. We will discuss that and more.

Please check out the poll added to this sites home page. If you have listened to my FM show for a long time you know I end the year with theme shows. This year YOU pick 3 bands among the biggest on my show every week to have an entire 3 hour program dedicated to their music! I’ll keep the poll up until the end of Nov then announce the 3 bands 12/1 and the dates their shows will air. So let your voice and favorite band be heard and cast your vote now!

Just added an appearance in New Bedford MA 12/20 hosting the charity event Rock 4 Xmas. More details soon.

If in NJ area please come to Dingbatz in Clifton Thanksgiving Eve for a charity event for my friend guitarist Karl Cochran. Joe Lynn Turner, Pat Travers, Steve Brown of Trixter (and recently Def Leppard) and many more will be rocking to help Karl. Hope to see you there.

Since I get asked daily (and thanks for caring!) I will end every blog with this: New TMS Feb 2015.

Eddie, What is the deal with you and Ace? If he needs so much help and can’t make it the right way like everybody else why subject the fans to his inadequte work? The guy is an uneducated street thug that would be in prison if not for all the charity. Gene and Paul are brilliant minds that could no longer lower themselves to Paul Frehley’s ineptness. The guy is a dope fiend/alcoholic who isn’t worth the free tickets you pass out for him. Its only a matter of time before he does something to you and yours. Dont say you weren’t warned.

This is hysterical! I find it endlessly amusing the things people come up with that have no clue and likely have never even met someone. Might this be Gene or Paul? Because if it isn’t it sure sounds just like them! There is no “deal” genius. I do nothing more for Ace than I have done for TONS of bands for decades for shows and new music. Please be sure to continue to ignore his sobriety for 7 years now and the fact that Kiss is still viable because THEY needed to go back to Ace and Peter to get on the map again. Enjoy your Kool Aid!

How can we forget his sobriety? You keep bringing it up every freakin’ chance you get!

    • Eddie on

I only bring it up because people spit out the same BS certain members of Kiss do constantly about him being a drunk. It seems others can get credit for changing but that doesn’t apply to Ace?

Forget it Eddie, don’t waste your time & energy on these people, they’re going to hate on Ace & Peter no matter what!

It would apply if he were truly sober. Just cause he gave up heroin doesn’t mean he’s sober. And you keep slipping on length of sobriety. Today its 7yrs. Last week it was 8. B4 that it was 9. Check your Ace notes b4 you start Bs ing.

Vince, you seem to have some deep issues with Ace. Do you know him? Do you know truly what he did and didn’t do and what his issues were? Why the hatred and so upset that he IS 100% sober? It’s kind of strange and disturbing to root and hope so much that someone you clearly don’t know is impaired and couldn’t have possibly turned himself around. Why would that be so hard for you to accept? Even people I don’t like I am happy for when they kick addiction. Really very sad you don’t know the guy at all (and you can’t if you don’t know the truth) and root against him like that. I have an idea, how about you don’t buy his records or go see him live? And please keep your baseless BS that is has some agenda I can’t for the life of me figure out off of my site.

My top 3 would be Iron Maiden, Queensryche (Tate) and LA Guns. Please skip the Kiss b.s.

Eddie, Saw Ace opening night and the technical issues were out of control. I have seen less stops in a kindergarten show. Its hard to believe that this clown is considered a musician. Who were the other amateurs in this circus? Just because you are friends you shouldn’t continue to support this garbage. It will continue to damage your already shady reputation.

Always thought Joe Lynn Turner was one of my favorite rock singers. I loved his work in Rainbow, and hope he does lots more. He and Carmine could do something interesting with the right songwriting partner/guitarist. Although unavailable, Doug Aldrich might be a good fit for them.

I voted for Van Halen, that includes Van Hagar as well. I love both Diamond Dave & The Red Rocker! I never got in the middle of that Dave VS. Sammy war bullsh-t. They’re both great at what they do, in or out of VH. Yes, I always preferred Sammy solo as well, but in ’86, VH needed Sammy a lot more than Sammy needed VH. Hagar was already a successful solo artist, way before he joined VH, as he was after VH, and still is today. Even though I have every Van Halen CD, I would still love to hear a whole show dedicated to Van Halen on your show Eddie, ALL ERA’S! 😉
