VAN HALEN REPORTED TO RELEASE “TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT” ON MARCH 31ST

VanHalen2012 According to Melodicrock.com, Van Halen are set to release their first-ever live album to feature original singer David Lee Roth. Recorded on June 21st, 2013 at the famed Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, Tokyo Dome Live In Concert includes 23 songs, spanning all seven of the band’s albums with Roth. It will be released as a double-CD, four-LP set on 180 gram vinyl and digitally beginning March 31st.

Also featuring guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen and bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, Tokyo Dome Live In Concert was mixed by award-winning engineer Bob Clearmountain and mastered by Chris Bellman.

  1. that is going to be a really reworked “not actual live” cause Dave cannot sing anymore!!! Would be better off releasing the recordings of the Oakland Coliseum tapes from1981 tour!!!

  2. Interesting. I’m not a huge fan of live albums in general, as in most times, huge chunks of it are re-recorded and it’s never really truly live. I can see buying a DVD, however.

  3. I really wish this would be from the 07/08 tour instead cause there was a huge blow to dave’s singing ability on that last tour. I also hated the headset he wore and how he replaced all his cool jumps and kicks with the goofy dancing and that horrible slide crap!

  4. I’m not sure they even picked this show? I got on youtube and it’s a horrible show! Roth couldn’t remember the lyrics and was speaking instead of singing. There were much better show that they could of used but oh well not wasting my cash on this. If they put out one much better show i’d be in.
