SLIPKNOT’S COREY TAYLOR ON KISS NOT PLAYING AT RRHOF INDUCTION CEREMONY: “CAN YOU JUST SET STUFF ASIDE AND DO ONE SHOW FOR THE FANS OF THE ORIGINAL LINEUP?

coreytaylor400 The Pulse Of Radio reports that Stone Sout/Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has commented on the KISS/Rock N’ Roll Hall of fame controversy.

According to blabbermouth, Corey told Radio.com, “On one hand, you’re stoked being a KISS fan, but on the other hand it’s, like, ‘Can you guys just put aside your petty issues and realize that without one another you wouldn’t have been able to do this? Can you just set stuff aside and do one show for the fans of the original lineup again? And then you never have to see each other again?'”

Taylor continued, “Without (Frehley and Criss), the other two guys wouldn’t be where they are! And that’s just me layin’ it straight! I might not ever get a kind word from anybody in that band anymore. But I think it’s petty and I think it’s ridiculous! Figure it out! Show respect, because sometimes it’s not about you, it’s about the fans.”

But Taylor admitted that band relationships can be complicated. He said, “We’re just crazy people who can’t get along sometimes… Now add fame and money and all that rock and roll craziness to it — we’re lucky we don’t eat each other in this industry!”

KISS will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on April 10th at a ceremony at the Barclay’s center in Brooklyn, New York, alongside Nirvana and others.

It doesn’t matter how successful they (gene and Paul) are if they still cling to the insecurities of the past and bring up the past as a way to justify what they are doing now. It suggests to me that they are still as flawedas they always have been and haven’t grown themselves and have to project it on everyone else, including the fans. Project and deflect. Just because you make millions of dollars per minute doesn’t make you a successful human being. And that’s the argument that they offer as to why they think they are so wonderful. They really aren’t that great when one thinks of it. Great people don’t have a compulsion to put others down to make themselves look good. And sadly, All the joy that I had from the reunion back in ’96 has been reduced to bewildered disappointment – I realize now that I , as a fan, had been used in a cynical gesture to boost revenue the whole time and I have now outlived my usefulness to the brand.

Original albums. No matter what anyone says, and I think MOST Kiss fans would agree…….. none of the albums of the post Ace/Peter era have you singing along word for word on EVERY song.
They made some solid stuff after Ace & Peter, but almost every album had some real average to LAME songs on them.
I want to stick a fork in my eye every time I hear “Reason To Live” or “God Made Rock & Roll For You”………just YUCK!
Crazy Nights album is a god awful nightmare.
Revenge, Carnival, Circus, Creatures, LIU, even SB………all pretty solid. The rest?????
    Unplugged was KA! LOL

It’s about time other rockstars open their mouths about this, instead of them kissing their asses like scott ian. Gene and Paul live in the past!! all they do is judge ace and peter about being drug addicts from back in 77′, not for them as they are now! If the current line up was so great why the hell does the setlist for every tour made up of 90% old songs and one new song and one from sonic boom?! please they need to just give it up now, its a nostalgia act.

Speaking of setlists & tours. I am surprised the genius that Gene THINKS he is, WHY in the hell haven’t they done one of these COMPLETE ALBUM tours?
Imagine IF they did a “DESTROYER” tour, now of course this is double-eged…….tour would SELLOUT with the CURRENT Kiss line-up, yet it’s one of their BEST albums with the ORIGINAL members. LOL
I’ve seen Kiss 20+ times and the setlists are almost always the same. I could careless about the stage show, I wanna hear tunes that I’ve never heard live. jmo

I’m not sure if Paul and Gene will be too hip on taking advice from another mask wearing band.

Gene and Paul: You guys should do some kind things for your fans, especially the die hards that have been around since 73.
    1) Be nicer on twitter. stop blocking fans that care.
    2) Do a 10 min set for the fans at the RRHF. Tell Tommy and Eric to chill and watch because they weren’t there in the beginning, the FANS were. And if they are FANS, they should oblige
    3) Get Peter and Ace to sign a contract that says ” 3 songs only at RRHF” and that’s it. Set the expectation that its for the FANS.
    4) your FAN BASE will be eternally grateful of the 4 originals play. If you don’t, you will lose a lot of your loyal fans because you’re not doing the right thing by Ace and Peter and the FANS.

Come on G&P, do it, you got “Nothing To Lose”
