SLIPKNOT’S COREY TAYLOR ON KISS NOT PLAYING AT RRHOF INDUCTION CEREMONY: “CAN YOU JUST SET STUFF ASIDE AND DO ONE SHOW FOR THE FANS OF THE ORIGINAL LINEUP?

coreytaylor400 The Pulse Of Radio reports that Stone Sout/Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has commented on the KISS/Rock N’ Roll Hall of fame controversy.

According to blabbermouth, Corey told Radio.com, “On one hand, you’re stoked being a KISS fan, but on the other hand it’s, like, ‘Can you guys just put aside your petty issues and realize that without one another you wouldn’t have been able to do this? Can you just set stuff aside and do one show for the fans of the original lineup again? And then you never have to see each other again?'”

Taylor continued, “Without (Frehley and Criss), the other two guys wouldn’t be where they are! And that’s just me layin’ it straight! I might not ever get a kind word from anybody in that band anymore. But I think it’s petty and I think it’s ridiculous! Figure it out! Show respect, because sometimes it’s not about you, it’s about the fans.”

But Taylor admitted that band relationships can be complicated. He said, “We’re just crazy people who can’t get along sometimes… Now add fame and money and all that rock and roll craziness to it — we’re lucky we don’t eat each other in this industry!”

KISS will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on April 10th at a ceremony at the Barclay’s center in Brooklyn, New York, alongside Nirvana and others.

I was going to see Kiss this year but now I won’t. If the ticket prices don’t keep you from going then this should. Kiss has every right to be bloody minded but so can their previous fans.

    Eddie,

Is Elton John inducting Kiss? Brian May? Eddie Vedder?

Also, it would be really cool if you live tweet from the induction ceremony.

This entire thing is an emotional situation… For those of us who are in their 40’s or older and grew up listening to KISS and buying albums, magazines, etc. it’s a whole lot worse because it’s not about who they are, but who they were and what we want as fans. Putting aside all the negative comments about each other, both sides make a good point as to why it’s wrong to perform one way or the other, but we as fans don’t care about how they feel. We care about how we feel and that’s it. I don’t subscribe to Gene’s opinions nor Paul’s stance on things. I don’t agree with former drug users nor alcoholics because that shows weakness, but I love KISS as it was. So taking that into consideration, Paul and Gene should screw everything they have worked on for years just to make us selfish original KISS fanatics happy… Or maybe not.

When Singer & Thayer walk on with Paul & Gene, expect the Brooklyn boo birds.

Sick and tired of Gene and Paul, well actually more Paul than Gene. Gene seems to be Paul’s little b*tch. I used to be a huge fan of Kiss but now I could really careless for them. It has nothing to do with the music or Eric Singer or Tommy!!! I just got tired of Them two senior citizens criticizing and putting down Ace and Peter, like their shit don’t stink!!! Paul and Gene always claim to do what they do for the fans.. Well, I think not! They should just retire already, Paul can’t even sing anymore. I am truly disappointed and embarrass for them.
