Stick a fork in Slayer…they’re done. No Dave, no Slayer. Period.

Exactly, though the midget King will continue after Araya’s gone.

Jeff was way more integral to Slayer than Dave, the band died with him

Wow there touring 150 seat clubs!

My least favorite period of Slayer was when Dave was out of the band in the 90’s. Joe P above says stick a fork in them and I understand why he’s saying that. I sort of feel the same way. But for me, I’m planning to see them in November, so I’m gonna wait until then to decide if they have a chance to move on, although without Jeff, may he rest in peace, and now without Dave it just won’t be the same any more. No offense to Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph because they are both great, but Slayer to me will always be Kerry, Jeff, Tom and Dave, no question.

I thought that was funny! Seems like every one is spoofing these ads, but Slayer? Great!!

I saw Slayer with Paul Bostaph a couple of times in the 90’s and I was impressed. In ’95 on the Divine Intervention tour and Ozzfest ’99. My feelings were if they had to lose Dave Lombardo they found the best replacement they could get, and have again. The true/real Slayer will never exist again anyway due to Jeff Hanneman’s death but I think they can move forward with this makeshift lineup and still be good.
