SEBASTIAN BACH ON A POSSIBLE SKID ROW REUNION, “[OUR MANAGERS ARE] TALKING”
During an appearance on Eddie Trunk’s SiriusXM show, Trunk Nation, earlier this week, Sebastian Bach was asked if there have been any updates on his long rumored reunion with other members of the classic lineup of Skid Row. He responded (as per blabbermouth.net), All I can say is that [my manager] Rick [Sales] is talking to [Skid Row’s early manager] Doc [McGhee]. That’s all I can say. That is what is happening, and I don’t have anything else to tell you. All I can tell you is we’re not getting any younger, folks. [Laughs] Let’s put the hair band back together while we’ve got hair. [Laughs]”
On the flip side, according to a new tweet from Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan, the band is several days into a writing and demoing session with the group’s current touring lineup, which includes the South African-born, British-based singer ZP Theart (Dragonforce, Tank, I Am I). Nolan writes, “Things are going amazing!”
Even though Skid Row has been playing shows with Theart since the beginning of this year, guitarist Dave “Snake” Sabo recently stopped short of calling him the band’s official new frontman.
“We haven’t even discussed it yet,” Sabo told News-Press.com this past October. “We just said, ‘This feels really good and let’s just do it.’ It’s who we are right now.”
You smell that………Smells like last chance money grab / monkey business.
Imagine an original Skid Row, Ratt (minus Bobby) and Bon Jovi (with Richie and Alec) tour. Now if only I could grow my hair back.
Snake loses all credibility if he does this. And now the fact that the mouthpiece can’t keep his mouth shut makes it worse. Once a dumbass, always a dumbass.
I agree, DR. I like Bach’s voice, but I can’t stand the crap that spews from his mouth. Bach thinks too highly of himself, his ego is oversized, and he comes off like a big jerk. The way he comes across in interviews, I can’t stand him. While I know there are plenty of fans that would like to see Bach reunite with Skid Row, selfishly, I hope it never happens. I think he’s looking for a big payday, and I would hate to see this guy rewarded with one.
Snake and Rachel, there are reasons Bach is no longer with you guys….keep that well in mind before letting this guy return to the band.
A ’bout frickin’ time, hope it happens. Saw them with Solinger and Harnell, good singers, but not the energy of Bach.
I saw them twice on the Kiss ‘farewell tour’ and they rocked out, and saw Baz’ solo, and he ripped my face off, but yeah, if Guns can mostly reunite, then the Skids need to put the egos aside and make the ‘Elders’ go wild!!! And Subhuman Race is badass!
