At a press conference at the Monsters Of Rock in Brazil (see video below), Ozzy Osbourne stated that Black Sabbath will record a final album to follow up 2013’s 13 and then head out on a farewell tour
He says, “The plan is that next year we’ll do the final Black Sabbath tour and album. I’m not stopping… my wife spends all my money so I can’t.”
Osbourne says that the plans “could change,” and adds, “We all live in different countries and some of them want to work and some of them don’t want to, I believe. But we are going to do another tour together.”
In related news, despite a previous announcement of The Osbournes returning to VH-1, VH-1 executive vice president Susan Levison tells The Hollywood Reporter, “We are no longer talking to the Osbournes about a series; that’s not going to happen..We wish we could have worked it out, but it just didn’t come together for us. The family has been absolutely lovely and we wish them the best. We’d love to figure out a way to work with them at some point in the future.”
The Osbournes originally aired between 2001 and 2005 on VH-1.

Ozzy’s integrity is in the same box that Sharon keeps his nuts in.
I would like to see Sabbath end on a high note. If the new album is an good as 13, they will.
However, this, like any, farewell announcements have to be taken with a grain of salt. Ozzy retired in 1992, and railroaded Dio’s second stint in Sabbath in the process.
Then, Black Sabbath retired in 1999. At least five tours and an album later…….
Hopefully, they can at least get Bill Ward back for the “final” show. But, I’m not holding my breath.
As I’ve gotten older I enjoy concerts less and less. Crummy overpriced seats. Overpriced drinks. Poor view of stage forces you to watch the video screen…. parking hastle….just not worth it for these big acts.
small theaters are best.
There are a few older bands that can still truly get it done. I know Lemmy his having some health problems but Motorhead is still good. Judas Priest is still good. Alice Cooper is still flat out amazing. There are some good ones still out there.
