KISS BASSIST GENE SIMMONS SAYS THE BAND DOESN’T KNOW WHO IS SUING OVER ERIC CARR’S ROYALTIES
KISS frontman Gene Simmons spoke with Radio.com about New York Post’s report that the band was being sued by Eric Carr’s heirs.
Radio.com: Who are these guys suing you, [if it is not Eric Carr’s family]?
Simmons: We don’t know, we have no idea, our lawyers are trying to find out who these people are. The Caravello family — Eric Carr’s family — released a statement along with us, saying we have no idea who these people are, these are lies and we intend to find out who they are, and why they’re saying these things. For one thing, it’s slanderous. They’re saying that Eric hated being in the band. What? He was the sweetest guy in the world. Eric and the family and the fans have been slapped in the face by these people and we intend to make sure that there’s justice.

Maybe it’s Paul and Gene that are suing for Eric’s royalties.
I busted up laughing when I read this, only because its crazy but nowadays you do have to give it consideration

They, like so many other bands, settle behind closed doors. I think Paul & Gene are getting a solid case of pay up. Shaq & Dwight Gooden played for 50% salary for one of their seasons…the rest ended up in a high profile law firm after they……
We should all sue Paul & Gene for fraud!
Geez folks Gene is defending Eric Carr and the guys always has shown love and respect to Eric and his memory and you guys still feel the need to take shots at Gene and Paul. They aren’t doing anything to Eric’s family and Eric Carr family backed this. I wish we could appreciate our favorite band and both sides of the all situation and move on. The civil war within the Kiss Army and the digs at Gene and Paul are dissrespectful. Paul and Gene are rock heroes and after 40yrs deserve soMe respect.
I have no idea about this lawsuit so not commenting on that. But Eric was a friend and there is SO much more than you will ever know surrounding Eric Carr and his relationship with Kiss in his final years…
So tell us what we need to know. Dio-Ozzy wage? Merchandising % at near nothing? Played hurt/sick? Our way or the highway?
