This is going to be the longest 19 days of my life! 😉 July 8th can’t come fast enough. 🙂
This all just seems so silly at this point. These guys are multi millionaires. Redeemer Of Souls? So what’s that all about? Is Priest saving our souls or something? It’s hard for me to take these kind of bands serious anymore. I love Eddie Trunks website but I wish he would push some new bands. Kix writing a new album? Oh man who cares. Horrible band. Let’s get some new blood guys. These old bands are really boring at this point.
Don’t like these bands anymore? simple, go somewhere else! Besides, if it wasn’t for JP, there wouldn’t be any “new” bands. And besides that, most new bands today suck anyway, thank God bands like JP are still around AND making some great NEW music!
I hate to say it Doug, but I kind of agree. I don’t care for many of the new metal bands either.
The “new” bands that I do like sound retro, like Buckcherry and Airbourne.
D from ET.com 🙂
Exactly, “some” new bands get it. They’re the ones that understand what “The Future’s In The Past” really means! 🙂
No…this makes my eyes water..(that’s not the same as crying….can we get this right please?_ the stock interview, the stock songs, ..I checked out after Angel of Retribution, the last real Priest album. This is “going through the motions..”
Totally your opinion clown, most people love what they’ve heard so far, and I’m one of them!
Let me guess…a new Priest song will be posted, with an interview, I know I am going out on a limb here, “this is just a classic Priest track from start to finish, it’s a rallying cry for metal…” This music is really thick headed.
People always hide behind the concept of subjectivity but comparing albums and critique are things of importance and are usually based thusly on objectivity. Most critics not bought off by the mainstream labels that release these supergroup albums and the promotional companies that are paid to promote them have given every priest album since Painkiller (and I’ve seen plenty of mediocre reviews of Painkiller – and very accurate and in line with my thoughts) mediocre to above average reviews.
I doubt this will be anything more than a cash grab, and only because fools salivate over anything Priest or Maiden or Metallica or Megadeth or Opeth or Trivium or whatever past-their-prime group put their logo on.
Don’t like it? Don’t listen to it! Same goes for you “clown”.
That is a great post.
This was a very astute band. But, you, the ones who will buy this, God Bless you, you are keeping them going, I just can’t do it, it wouldn’t be honest.
?
I’m with you Scott, ?
Too bad radio doesn’t play new stuff anymore, they’d have another thing comin’ if they tracked these.
Every track so far has been amazing! Stoked for the cd!
