The question is: Who in their right mind could listen to a 2 1/2 hour interview with “Diamond Dave”. Could anyone comment how they could endure the ramblings of Dave. What could this guy say in 2 1/2 hours that would be coherent or interesting that he could’nt say in 2 1/2 minutes.

Oddly enough, Arnold, my question would be who could listen to Joe Rogan? The Joe Rogan Experience? Hopefully, Jimi haunts that assclown’s dreams for copycatting the JHE.

I agree with your reply as well. Without trying to sound like a complainer I think the “Diamond Dave” act that Lee Roth has been putting on since the early Van Halen days has run its course and he needs to invent a new alter ego for his age. The public, in my opinion, has gotten tired of his act and has moved on. There is nothing more sad than to see someone in the Rock business trying to act like he was when he was in his teens. Its just quite pathetic. As Dave has said in past interviews : “Wake up and smell the coffee.” Perhaps he has a stuffed up nose and does’nt get the message. Yet!

PS: Too bad Saturday Night Live has not done a parody on Dave lately. Perhaps if he saw himself as SNL and the piblic see him he might change his over welcome “clown act”. Better yet, maybe he’ll read this comment and start the “wheels a turnin” in his head to make an improvement.

I meant to write public not piblic. Sorry Dave.

I listened to most of it. I’m surprised that he did Joe Rogan’s podcast. It’s not worth listening to. It’s mostly about him living in Japan, him studying Japanese, and martial arts.

Observation, question and quote regarding Van Halen. When did you ever hear Van Halen as the band or Dave by himself ever mention the fans? If they did, I’ll bet a Dave solo album, you could count the times on one hand over the last twenty years. Look at the bands that Eddie has had on TMS. All hold the fans in high respect and recognize that if it were’nt for them the band would’nt exist. Look at Metallica, they can’t say enough about their fans at every opportunity. Could you imagine Lars acting like Dave? Even I don’t have that big of an imagination. I will close this last comment with a quote by Tom Petty.
“Its only rock and roll. Its not suppose to be that good. So don’t get too serious or self important about what you do. Respect your fans and enjoy what you are doing” I rest my case.
