HAS A NEW GUNS N’ ROSES SONG LEAKED ONLINE?
What might be a brand new Guns N’ Roses song has leaked online, and according to MetalSucks, guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal has actually confirmed that the song is legitimate – although that verification has subsequently been deleted.
The song, titled Going Down, features lead vocals from bassist Tommy Stinson, with Axl Rose on backing duties. Listen to it below.
Guns N’ Roses has not released any new music since 2008′s Chinese Democracy.

Cmon guys…GnR was the ultimate band of the time. The Metallica tour with Body Count in KC is even still to this day the best damn concert I have EVER seen!!! Hetfeld had just come back from being burned on stage, Axl being an ass by holding up the show for like 2 hours, but all the naked chicks on screen made up for it so.. Thanks Axl!!! Guys were leaving the band Izzy then Duff, Steven being fired..I can remember when Slash was the replacement guitarist mimicking someone elses style, and look how great it turned out for him, when Miles sings with him it sounds just as sweet to me!!! I wish the best to all these guys…FUCKING ROCKSTARS!!!! Just what I always wanted to be!! Anything new they do I like!
Call me hypocritical, but I don’t have a problem with Sabbath without Ward, or KISS without Ace/Peter, or Winger without Reb Beach – but after Illusion(s), GNR ceased to exist and Axlerod calling this version GNR is tantamount to Ozzy calling his solo band Sabbath. I saw GNR open for The Cult in 1987 when nobody knew who they were and the 5 originals blew everyone away. It was the first concert without pyro or affects of any kind that I had seen where you just had 5 guys completely kick ass and that included Axl. Nobody knew any of their songs and still everyone was freaking out and loving it. I swear everyone in that arena ran out the next day and bought Appetite. Axl would have plenty of credibility if he hadn’t called this version GNR. Nobody would bitch or gripe about it. For you guys who never saw the original 5, I’m trying to understand your support of this football team – and if this floats your boat, then good for you. But if you haven’t been there from the start its hard to appreciate the original 5 and how they shook up the music scene. And that’s why Axl’s solo band is not accepted by most.
I think Mr Hooker’s n blow is guy on far right. Is this leaking shit supposed to be like fucking WATERGATE? Is Adler deep throat? Does G Gordon Liddy have ITS SO EASY on his IPOD? Are Trunk and Florentine like WASHINGTON POST reporters? Is Axl looking to find out Slashes secrets? Like Slash is McGovern. What a nut this Axl is. Where s Buckethead? Is he the leak? Axl will be forced to resign as President of Guns N Roses and he ll be replaced by Angry Anderson who could pull it off but might be a little old.
Even the Use your Illusion tour was a joke. That’s when I lost interest as it started going downhill. It looked like a circus when I saw it on TV (them playing Wembley). In addition to the usual 5 piece, you had a keyboard player, two or three backup singers, a percussionist, anyone else I’m forgetting here? Needless to say, I didn’t go. Besides, it was so commercialised with Coca Cola sponsoring i here. I respect Izzy for leaving when he did. And I told him that myself when he toured here in Australia with the Ju Ju Hounds , around the same time. Izzy was the coolest to talk to. Totally down to earth….
And Axl wanted Zakk Wylde at one stage….

Denis, way back in 88 or 89 when Izzy left, I thought he was crazy. But to your point, clearly he knew what was up and has more cred than any of them now.
