Gus N’ Roses has released a new song called Absurd across all digital music providers, listen to it below.
The band is currently on the road, with their next stop being Detroit, MI on August 8th. Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth VH is the opening act for the trek, see the band’s entire tour itinerary, here.
Guns is reportedly working on a new studio album — the first since 2008’s Chinese Democracy and the first to feature original members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan since 1993.

It’s so 1981…it’s cool…-
1981? Bro, don’t insult 1981! It sounds nothing like 1981 at all, it sounds like your typical shitty song from 2021, this “song” just sucks, period!
I hear it in Escape From New York …this is movie soundtrack music…2021 has a sound? please let me know…Doug, can you, you know, get it together?
Yes, 2021 does have sound, a S—TY sound! Shannon, you know exactly what I’m talking about, you weren’t born yesterday…
LOL!!!!
Ok, modern music is very technical, precise, and not very original. You’d be surprised how schooled modern musicians are. But then, they reuse hooks that are obviously from earlier hits. Maybe they just fell in love with the music like we did and want to find a way to use it , or maybe they’re tapping a well that’s almost completely dry. I don’t bother with it, but I like this music.
sounds like an attempt at speed metal,it was ok but sounded rushed
Wow, never thought I’d haear a GnR song.
Video sounds good if turn off the sound and played Anthrax’s “Medusa.”
“Medusa She’s starring at you with those absurd eyes.”
At least the video makes more sense.
I think this isn’t new but song called “Silkworms” a song that didn’t make it on Chinese Democracy. So, we cannot blame Duff or Slash.
The song s***ks and doesn’t go along with the video. I never was a fan of the “Illusions” albums, but they at least have better songs than this…Pile of poo poo.
Charles,
Ding, ding, ding, you are today’s winner (although, always a winner to me 🙂 ). This is indeed an old song, recorded during the Chinese Democracy sessions, that never made it on the record. Now, we know why, as described, so astutely, by you, above.
Additionally, I know quite a few people who think of Guns as a one album band.
