I saw GnR at Giants stadium with Aerosmith and Deep Purple. The black and white portions for the video for Paradise City were shot at that show. The lower section of the stadium where my seats were was shown many times during the video. If you squint real hard you can see me. I’m the one with long brown hair.

      🙂 🙂 🙂

I also saw Guns at Giants Stadium, but it was the tour with Metallica and Faith No More.

People kept throwing bottles, etc. onstage, and half way through their show, Axl stopped the music, and said if another projectile made its way onstage, he was walking off. Well, wouldn’t you know three minutes later, some dip poop, I think it was a lighter and it zipped right by Roses’ head. He stormed off, the rest of the band continued to play for about two minutes more, and then they followed suit.

The onstage lights were dark for about five minutes, or so, as everyone waited. Eventually, then they back came on, the PA started playing music, and the crew started to dismantle the gear. They were lucky there wasn’t a riot.

I have seen them three times in my life, two out of the three were problematic. The last time was the first go round of the Not In The Lifetime reunion tour, with 3/5th of the original lineup. Lenny Kravitz opened, he was phenomenal.

IMO, why G N’ R is in the RRHOF, considering their limited music output and the fact the band spent the majority of its existence as “Hired Guns N’ Axl Rose”, is unbelievable. Again, IMO, it’s just another example of the stupid decision making of the RRHOF while other more deserving bands like Priest, Maiden, and Motorhead, who all fit the eligibility criteria, continue to be excluded.

The fact that Judas Priest is not in, is both simultaneously infuriating and laughable.
