    (Hired) Guns N’ (Axl) Roses.

Interesting they’re doing 2 nights in Atlantic City in a 5000 seater. A smaller venue might be a cool place to see them. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the flood of live music tours resuming may be underway.

Coming to pdx! Might try to get a ticket for this. I wonder if this Covid s–t has made GA-Floor tickets a thing of the past? \MM/

The big news here isn’t that G&R are doing yet another greatest hits tour, it’s Mammoth WVH. Having seen G&R twice already on this never-ending tour, I’m interested in getting tickets solely to see the opening act. Opening for a tour of this size is quite a coup for Wolf. His dad would be proud….

So I’m curious, and I’d like Eddie to talk about it on his show. Did Wolfgang’s management have to pay-to-play to get this opening gig on GNR’s tour?

Medved, I was wondering something similar. While I wish WVH the best in his career and knowing he began performing with VH in 2006, for his solo band to get the opening gig on this tour was quite the surprise. To be honest, I was hoping WVH’s first gigs would have been with Sammy Hagar’s band….and then Wolfie would join Hagar on stage to perform a Hagar era VH song…..

      Rattle,

My mother, who is a big Axl Rose fan, said, they need Wolfie more on their tour, then he needs them. I think she makes a decent point.

      D 🙂

      Medved,

      Eddie’s repsonse:

“No, GnR would not do buy ons. They have the same booking agent.”

      Hope that helps.

Pretty kick-ass he gets to open for them and them for him as was said. I think it’s pretty cool. Just not sure i want to see Gun’s since the last time I saw them was in July 92’, in DC @ RFK with Metallica. Axl and the band were incredible that night, and yes, he was about 45 minutes late. Lol

I still remember those awesome Use Your Illusion Scrims on each side of the stage and Axl on his Piano Harley. Great show, that was. \MM/

Tasker, I saw the same tour in San Diego. But G N’ R actually started on time. That was my one and only time seeing G N’ R, and I’m quite okay with that…..

      I also saw that tour.

GN’R was over three hours late. I thought the Nassau Coliseum, in Long Island, was going to explode. Fans eventually started shouting “bulls–t” and I thought there might be a riot. Rumors were that Axl was reportedly watching a movie, with his then girlfriend, Stephanie Seymour (whom I never liked) and would not come onstage until the film was over. I am not even sure if he was watching said movie backstage at the arena or at his hotel room in lower Manhattan?

For those of you unfamiliar with New York, Uniondale, where the Coliseum is located, is at least a 35-45 minute car ride away from the city.

Great stories. To this day seeing Faith No More was what finally turned me into a fan. They rocked as an opener, really got the crowd going. Like Gn’R, I haven’t seen them again since.

I’m with you Rattle, I think I will pass on Gn’R this time around.
