GUNS N’ ROSES RELEASES NEW SONG “ABSURD”

Gus N’ Roses has released a new song called Absurd across all digital music providers, listen to it below.

The band is currently on the road, with their next stop being Detroit, MI on August 8th. Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth VH is the opening act for the trek, see the band’s entire tour itinerary, here.

Guns is reportedly working on a new studio album — the first since 2008’s Chinese Democracy and the first to feature original members Axl RoseSlash and Duff McKagan since 1993.

This song was definitely meant to get a visceral reaction. It’s G&R at its most in-your-face punk rock. If that’s not your thing, you’re going to hate it. If it is, you’re probably going to like it a bit more (or a lot). By that measure, this punk as it should be. The most notable thing to me about this song is Axl’s voice. I would’ve never guessed it was him.

Couldn’t understand a word. Different. Not really good or memorable, but at least it’s not something that sounds like it is trying to bring the 80s into the much judgmental present.

I would actually have far more respect for them if they did their Apetite sound now.

It’s not punk at all , it’s actually an insult to call that garbage punk ~ I would rather listen to Greta van zeppelin than this nonsense –

I was never a fan of Punk, but Punk was all about being non conformist. Once a band tries to “go with the trend” and change their sound to be current, they are anything but Punk.

It’s one thing if a band evolves their sound organically over time, or wants to try something new to be innovative, it’s another when they just want to hop on the popularity train.

Firstly: I am not a GnR fan. Listened to this & thought the music was good & the lyrics/singing style were Sex Pistols-like. Would make a good road trip blasting music song.

Just my 2 cents – your mileage may vary.

This is not even close to punk rock…it’s some weird late ’70s homage to Cheap Trick when they were being experimental…I like it..
