    1. I am confounded as to why they are repurposing old Chinese Democracy material that never made it on to the album, that is usually a tell. While there are exceptions to every rule, for the most part if a song has not made the cut, there is usually a reason why.

    2. I agree, I think it’s a combination of laziness, and lack of creativity. There are some exceptions, like what Van Halen did with “ADKOT,” they recycled those songs perfectly (IMO) but GN’R? So far I’m not impressed at all.

    3. Not that I am defending Van Halen, but at least Roth was part of actually writing those older songs.

Slash, and McKagan, had zero input with any of the Chinese Democracy material, and if they happen to change a guitar chord here, or a lyric there, the fact remains, those songs are Axl’s baby.

  1. Yeah, it’s better, but that’s not saying much, as the other song was not good. Plus, putting out an old song and calling it new, because it didn’t make the cut for an album, is just lazy, considering the guys that made it, are not the ones playing on it now. The old bait and switch, GnR’s fans look at the new shiny toy not knowing, or caring, that it is an old toy refurbished.
