Iconic guitarist George Lynch was a guest on Eddie’s SiriusXM show on June 14th. An excerpt from the interview appears below via Blabbermouth.net.
When asked whether the rumors are true that he was asked to join the current touring lineup of Ratt — presumably alongside singer Stephen Pearcy and bassist Juan Croucier for their upcoming shows without Warren DeMartini —Lynch responded, “Mmm-hmm. We just couldn’t come to an agreement on it. They haven’t called me back. I’ve been staring at the phone. My wife’s like, ‘Honey, want to go to bed or eat something?’ I’m like, ‘I’m waiting for the Ratt phone to ring.’ I’m good with it.”
Ratt recently announced plans to move forward with Pearcy and Croucier and as as-yet-unrevealed lineup of other musicians. They also revealed some tour dates, which can be viewed, below.

No surprise, really. Stephen and Juan will need a novelty to attract an audience
i saw ratt get booed off the stage while opening for the scorpions. the fans yelled “no juan like you!”
And so it begins….LOL!!!!!
Does anyJuan know exactly why Warren is no longer in Ratt? Just Juandering. I’m not surprised George was asked to join Ratt, after all him & Juan have a early Dokken history of shedding, I mean shredding (LOL) together! I mean what the hell, George has been in & out of so many different bands during his career, what’s wrong with Juan more? 😉
Doug, I can only speculate here, but one of the reasons Blotzer formed his own version of Ratt was that DeMartini wasn’t big on touring. He’s got a large income from a family inheritance, and unlike the others, is in demand at musician fantasy camps.
So perhaps that resistance to touring continued after control of Ratt transferred to the other guys.
Gee, I wonder what kind of an inheritance it was?
D 🙂
Tyger, on behalf of Trunk Nation let me just state that you typed ‘one of the reasons Blotzer formed his own version…’ when you could have typed ‘Juan of the reasons Blotzer formed his own version’.
I mean….what happened?
Eddie, for your next Top 20 list, I suggest that instead of the 20 best songs of Ratt, you propose the 20 most appropriate Ratt replacement members.
i would put juan at number juan on that list. “you lose juan and you win juan”.
Maybe Jimmy Crespo’s available…
George’s style is somewhat similar to Warren’s in my opinion, so he might be a good fit for them if it worked out. I guess they didn’t want to pay him, and there’s a thousand young guitarists who will do it for next to nothing.
