This has gone to Lynyrd Skynyrd level now. This is not Deep Purple. Hang it up already.
This comment makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Ritchie Blackmore is my favorite musician of all time, bar none (and it isn’t even close) but fair is fair: the Morse era of Deep Purple is viable and legitimate. They’re making new, relevant music; I’m not sure how you can criticize that beyond just saying “I don’t like it”.
It’s not as bad as Skynyrd.. there’s more original guys left than them, more like KISS No Ritchie, No Ace.. who cares, and they survive off the past songs,no one cares about the new CDs, I sure don’t.
I’m was die hard DP,fan, but it’s been over for me since Ritchie left.
I care about the new cd’s as do other people I know. The last few have been awesome!!
Ian will be 70 next week! He and the rest of this band appear to be having the most fun they’ve ever had. This band is rock and roll royalty, do not doubt that.
Yes, it’s amazing that Gillan will be 70, he looks great.
D 🙂
they still sound great and look like they’re having fun. glad they’re still at it.
Steve Morse’s playing continues to infuse these songs with a freshness few can match. But let’s face it, live albums like “Come Hell or High Water” sound great just because the rivalry and anger are just so palpable.
