Fake Kiss will go on American Idol, but won’t have anything to do with Eddie Trunk’s show.
What a joke they have become.

Hmmm…. well… you either go on a show that has 9 million viewers, or 900 viewers. It’s not rocket science.

Uhh wait, “Neil”…..embarrassing yourself in front 9 million people isn’t smart for buisness/up coming tour. That looked like a Tornado interacting with a Hurricane……Joe in a The Cuse

Once again – not the sharpest tool in the shed. Do you really think that the majority of those 9 million viewers can differentiate Paul’s 1977 singing voice and now? Most of the viewers were born in the 1990s. Those viewers witnessed the spectacle that is Kiss.

Lmao…talk about who is or isn’t ‘the sharpest tool in the shed”….hey Mr. Brilliant Yute….it doesn’t take much NO MATTER WHAT YEAR YOU WERE BORN to figure out that out with all that is available to witness….Schools out, lesson over Flamin….again…lols, Joe in The Cusr

An absolutely ridiculous performance. Kiss is losing the little respect I had for them.

Surprised this is the first time some people are noticing the weakness in Paul’s vocal delivery. Folks, it’s been this way for a few years now. It’s likely to have more to do with the surgery than age. Vocals can deteriorate over time for sure, but the extent to what’s happened with him sounds like more than the impact of father time. It is time to step down. Not a bash, just a sad reality. When arthritis doesn’t allow you to grip a hammer any more, it’s time to stop the carpentry work. As an aside, I like what Caleb did here far more than the Whitesnake cover.

Wow, … really, really rough go of it Paul. It sounds like Eric Singer is carrying the vocal load there in the chorus, yes? I have to agree that it’s going to be a tough tour with Paul sounding like that. It’s a good thing they have a solid drummer/vocalist and guitarist/vocalist because they are going to need it. I prefer the original lineup honestly … but can you imagine rolling the dice on an originals show when Paul is coming off so weak. One flat tire, two others not bolted on too snugly … and the last one over-inflated.
It would be so refreshing though to hear Paul address it and own up to it.

Love the tire analogy – made me belly laugh. I was actually considering Paul’s original solo album this morning during my drive to work – how solid it was, and how good his voice was then and in the late ’80’s and even on REVENGE. And the LIVE TO WIN stuff sounded real solid too. Just a shame how bad his voice is now. It simply can’t be ignored anymore.
Mickey Mantle was still putting fannies in the seats in 1967 and 1968, but he certainly wasn’t the Mick of the 1950’s. But even he realized he couldn’t do it anymore and had to reluctantly hang up the cleats. I’m hoping the upcoming tour is Paul’s 1968, and he will gracefully hang up the platforms, retire, and go be with his lovely family, and help successfully run the side businesses he and Gene have developed. And maybe someday make peace with Ace and particularly Peter.
