STRYPER RELEASE NEW SONG “BIG SCREEN LIES” FROM UPCOMING ALBUM

stryper640 Stryper has released another song from their forthcoming new studio album, Fallen, which will be released on October 16th through Frontier records. Listen to Big Screen Lies below.

Michael Sweet described the song with this sentiment, ““It talks about how Christians are mocked on screen. I don’t know if you know this, but 9.5-times-out-of-10 in movies or on television, Christians are portrayed as maniacal lunatics and backwoods crazies who aren’t in touch with reality. There are some like that, but I wanted to write a song that showed this was not true for everybody. A lot of bright, grounded people are Christians.”

Fans who pre-ordered Stryper’s new album on Apple Music/iTunes, songs Big Screen Lies, Yahweh and the title track, Fallen will all download instantly. Click here to pre-order, Fallen.

KISS’ PAUL STANLEY JOINS RON KEEL AND THE BADLANDS HOUSE BAND ONSTAGE ON AUGUST 27TH

PaulSandRonK 640 The Badlands House Band, the musical voice of Chuck Brennan’s new Badlands Pawn entertainment destination, and featuring Ron Keel, made their debut in true post-Apocalyptic fashion on Thursday, August 27th at The District in Sioux Falls.

The band, fans, staff and venue endured a record-breaking thunderstorm which caused major flooding and road closures throughout the region, and a power outage lasting nearly two hours. The hundreds of Rock ‘n Roll enthusiasts that remained at the venue roared when the power came back on and the Badlands House Band took the stage.

“We stayed ready, and maintained our focus,” said lead singer Ron Keel. “When the juice came back on, it was time to go to work.”

The electricity remained on for the entire show, which featured plenty of flames, smoke, explosions, a drum riser built like the front of a train – and special guest appearances by Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famer Paul Stanley from KISS and Night Ranger’s Jack Blades.

“The Badlands House Band is really world class,” Stanley stated after the show. “I was more than pleasantly surprised. When you say you’re going to sit in with a band you really don’t know what you’re getting into. It’s great.”

“I’m really proud of the entire Badlands team,” Brennan said. “The band kicks ass, and our staff and crew really rose to the occasion. This is the first of many epic events presented by the Badlands Entertainment Group.”

The concert was filmed for an upcoming TV special, and the first 500 guests in the door received a free Badlands House Band t-shirt.

The band is led by million-selling frontman Ron Keel, the Metal Cowboy, and includes Midwest drum legend Rev Koller, guitarists DC Cothern and Doc Purcell, keyboardist Dakota Scott and bass player Geno “El Diablo” Arce.

The songlist featured classic Rock ‘n Roll anthems woven together to create a show filled with twists and turns, dramatic transitions, massive vocal harmonies and guitar histrionics. After the performance, the Badlands House Band wasted no time resting as they climbed on board the tour bus and headed for their first road show the following night in Mankato, Minnesota.

“The Minnesota show the next day was the true test,” said Badlands Entertainment Manager Mike “Chainsaw” Findling. “It was a last minute opportunity, so there was no advance promotion and nobody knew who they were. Without the hype, the special effects, lights, no train and no superstar guests, the show still worked. Thousands of fans were singing along, even though they’d never heard of the band.”

The group’s next stop is in Moorhead, Minnesota September 11th at Bluestem Amphitheater with Hairball. They are also confirmed to perform at major bike events such as Biketoberfest (Daytona October 15th-17th) and the Lone Star Rally in Galveston November 5th-7th. BHB has just launched their official web site at BadlandsHouseBand.com.

Had a great couple days with Bruce Dickinson in NYC. Monday Bruce dropped by my live SiriusXM show and sat in for about an hour talking Maiden and taking calls. That interview is now available on demand on the SiriusXM app. Just search my name or Trunk Nation.

Last night over 200 people came out to watch my podcast interview with Bruce at the Hard Rock in Times Square (photos now on my Twitter, FB and Instagram). We covered lots of stuff and took questions from the audience as well as some that were emailed to me through this site. People literally came from all over the world to be at this podcast recording! A testament to the Maiden fan base and my loyal audience as well who entered to win tickets on this site. The complete audio from last nights special event will be available free to all worldwide starting tomorrow as my podcast for the week. It will be available as usual either through Itunes Podcasts or www.podcastone.com . The entire event plus bonus content was also filmed. I hope to be able to share with you a very cool video of the night in the next week or so. I also hope to do more live podcasts with an audience in the near future. Audio from last night will also be featured in coming editions of my FM radio show. Huge thanks to the Maiden camp, John Pasquale and all at the Hard Rock NYC, John Warden and Rive Video, Ron Akiyama, and all the great fans that came out. I’ve done so many special events with the Hard Rock in NYC and this was another great one!

This weekends FM/syndicated show will be a Double Play Labor Day special with at least 2 in a row from your favorite artists. As usual it debuts Friday 11P-2A ET on Q104.3 NYC and WAAF Boston. Both stations stream free. All outlets listed under Live and On The Air tab.
