Black Country Communion — the band that features bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes, guitarist Joe Bonamassa, keyboardist Derek Sherinian and drummer Jason Bonham — will be getting back together after more than four years apart.
Hughes, Bonham and producer Kevin Shirley confirmed the news on Facebook, where Hughes said, “Preparing BCC rocket ship relaunch for 2017. All systems go.”
“To quote Joe this morning, ‘Maybe it’s time to break out the heavy bats again,” Hughes wrote in a separate Facebook post. “Thanks so much for your very kind messages. We hear you, and time is the healer.”
Black Country Communion released three albums: Black Country Communion (2010), Black Country Communion 2 (2011) and Afterglow (2012).

Heard this earlier but wanted to be sure it was legit. Great news, for sure. Some say rock is dead, I call B.S. The rock world needs a band and more bands like BCC. They’ve only scratched the surface of what they can and will do, I believe. So cheers to the BCC train, rollin’ again to rock our world. Hopefully this time I’ll get a chance to see them live.
Awesome! After so much bad news in the rock world, this is exactly the infusion we need!
Kiss IS together. They’re on tour now.
Oh, you mean with the original guys; I get it. Listen, if you saw the Aerosmith/Kiss tour in 2003, you would know full well that Peter Criss can’t/doesn’t want to put in the work, and it’s over thirteen years from that. He couldn’t cut it then, and 13 years of inactivity isn’t helping. As a life-long Kiss fanatic, the LAST thing I want is Ace and Peter up there.
This won’t be happening. Hughes has 7 months to say something about Bonamassa’s schedule and blow the whole thing up.
HELL YEAH! Their first two albums are incredible. The third album, Afterglow, is the weakest of the three studio albums but it’s a great one to. This is great news!
