ARMORED SAINT: SECOND LEG OF NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH W.A.S.P. CANCELED

The eagerly anticipated second leg of Armored Saint‘s North American tour supporting W.A.S.P. has been canceled due to extensive back injuries suffered by W.A.S.P.’s Blackie Lawless during the European leg of the run. The tour will be canceled so Lawless can complete a full recovery. Tickets and VIP packages can be refunded at the point of purchase.

Armored Saint vocalist John Bush comments, “To say we are super bummed about the tour being canceled would be an understatement. We were all prepping hard, and I was looking forward to turning 60 years old in Wheeling, West Virginia. That being said, we understand Blackie’s physical condition and we stand behind him and hope for a speedy recovery. Thank you to all the fans who purchased tickets and VIP packages. The Concert Tickets and VIP packages can be refunded at the point of purchase. Armored Saint VIP Upgrade holders should go to national-acts.com for a full refund. Thank you for all your loyalty as always! I’m gonna turn a negative into a positive and let you know that his little snafu has allowed us to start writing songs for a new record. It’s sounding killer!”

  1. Hi Tom, good to see ya here!

As to Rattleheads questions, I don’t know why I don’t like them. I don’t dislike them, and respect their musical abilities, they just never did anything for me. Most of my friends growing up loved them, and I just never got into them. Think it could be timing. When I first heard them, I was listening to Slayer, Venom and other extreme metal bands at the time. So even some of my favorite bands like Judas Priest got out on the back burner for years during that time. So I don’t hate them, I just can’t get into them.

And as Dana said, Slayer is my band. I’ve worshipped them since 1984 and don’t plan on stopping. And Megadeth rocks too!

    1. WN, I love Slayer, too! My fave of the Big 4. Just a consistent catalog of thrash music. I love Venom, too. So influential to Slayer. “Black Metal” is my favorite Venom album, with “Don’t Burn the Witch” my favorite Venom song.

  2. And, BTW, Happy Anniversary to Metallica’s debut album, “Kill Em All”, which was released 40 years ago today. I think it’s a great album…..probably cuz alot of the songs were written by Dave Mustaine. :o)

    1. It is a great album. I celebrated it most of the day and a few live shows.

Remember how the original pressings included Blitzkrieg & Am I Evil? Of course you do. I really disliked how they re-released KEA without them in anticipation of their 98’ Garage Days, Inc with all their covers. Lame as hell, plus my copy was stolen from my truck in Baltimore back in 94’ during an Orioles-Yank game. Yanks won. Cal didn’t deliver that day. I lost some good albums on that birthday, it still hurts to this day.

      Cheers-Brent

  3. There’s only two bands I’d ever consider getting a tattoo of. First one is Slayer, second would be Mercyful Fate. Venom almost squeaks in, but they’ve kinda fallen off for me the last few albums. Venom Inc is fire though lol All three of those bands changed my life forever. Can’t remember which came first, but I think it was Slayer. Venom I bought At War with Satan because I thought the album cover was cool. That opening track blew my mind. I still love the early venom stuff, they are so good. If I had to pick a favorite song it’s probably be Seven Gates, In League with Satan or In Nomine Satanas. Favorite Slayer is all three first albums lol For MF gotta go with The Oath or Satans Fall.

    1. WN, I love Mercyful Fate! My favorite album is “Melissa”, favorite song is “Evil”. I love the music, took me a while to get used to King Diamond’s voice. Did you know that Armored Saint’s bass player, Joey Vera, is now playing with Mercyful Fate? He’s been with Mercyful Fate since 2019, replacing Timi Hansen.

  4. Yes, I was lucky enough to see them twice last year. Saw them in Vegas at the psycho Vegas festival then they came through Phoenix a short time after that. Seen King three times, and not MF only the two times. Wish I could have seen the original lineup back in the day, but just never had a chance.
