3/10: MICK MARS, DEE SNIDER, HHFEST, KISS, GEORGE LYNCH, MORE

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Thanks for all the awesome response to the Mick Mars TMS episode. Great to have guys you don’t hear from often on. Also great response to my in depth radio interview making the rounds. Appreciate that. Was fun to spend a couple days with Mick and get to know him better after all these years. Episode 9 of our current 12 episode season tapes tomorrow with Dee Snider as our guest and Chris Caffery playing guitar. Some other surprises possible as well. More from the set via Twitter tomorrow as we start to roll. As usual see it this Saturday premiere on VH1C. This weeks Mick Mars show replays all week, just check your grids for days and times.

MANY reports about this weekends Hell & Heaven Festival’s status in Mexico City. Latest I am hearing is it is on but at a new location outside Mexico City. Please understand I am a VERY small part of this event and I am only getting my info from the agent that booked me on it. If you are in Mexico you likely know more than me. Assuming it does happen I will be there as planned. I’ll keep you posted on what I hear but much I am learning from you and some of the bands playing I have friends in. Hope it all works out.

Many reports and rumors out there about Kiss and the R&R HOF. All I can tell you is at this time there are NO plans for any version of Kiss to play at it at all and no tribute act either. All four members will make a speech and there would likely be a video montage and that’s about it. Of course anything can change but that is where things are at now I am being told and it does not look likely to be different come 4/10.

LIVE tonight 6-10P ET on SiriusXM 39 TRUNKNation. George Lynch among the guests. Music and talk that rocks live tonight! Join me and get involved.

So, then the event music will be all E-Street Band and Hall and Oates?
It just rings a little false, and I see that the responses here are dropping off. They’ve done it. They’ve pushed us to the point where we just don’t care. Hoo. Ray.

Kiss are a bunch of LOSERS!
They can’t do 4 lousy songs with the original guys. Other bands have done it. Just recently Heart did it.
Paul and Gene are a couple of tools. I was looking forward to this and was considered getting tickets to go. But after the cluster phuck with Gene and Paul I said forget it. I don’t need to hear about Paul Stanley’s pettiness of things that happened 30 years ago. What a loser! Let it go. With such pettiness it must be a nightmare to work with or be around this tool.
I have no interest in seeing Kiss now.
I don’t need to see a tribute band.
I don’t need to see and hear Pauls broken voice.
I don’t need to see 2 guys who stayed too long at the party and not know when to leave. It is embarrassing.

If it was up to me I would UN-induct them.

It’s so refreshing to see a guy like Mick Mars while all this kiss bullshit is going on. Me and my GF were 2nd row in Vegas residency on 2/8/12. Mick was right in front if us. He smoked!! What a killer guitar player. You never hear this guy complain about his health. And Im sure if Gene and Paul were in charge they’d fire him. The Crüe are the real deal man. Brothers forever. I will miss Mötley Crüe!! God bless you Mick!

Kiss is acting like immature overpaid brats and impostors of today, this is in the beginning of kiss the ones that should have been in 20 years ago,Ace and Peter are icons and blocks of the foundation of kiss.

I would like to concur with all those who are praising Mick Mars. What a hell of a guy. Hey Jim, good call including “Red Hot” on your Top Five list. Back in the day of the SF 49ers 80s-90s dynasty, we used to play that song before games to psych up.
