WATCH GENE SIMMONS AND ACE FREHLEY REUNITE ONSTAGE AT CHARITY EVENT

Former KISS bandmates Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley shared a stage last night for the first time in 16 years. Watch their performances of Parasite, Cold Gin and Shock Me below.

Frehley guested with Simmons’ solo band at a fundraising show for victims of Hurricane Harvey in St Paul, Minnesota, a bill that also featured Don Felder and Cheap Trick.

As Frehley walked onstage, Simmons told the crowd, “Before you were born, 1973, this guy and I, the two of us, put together the band.” When Simmons introduced the original Space Ace, the guitarist took a bow as his former bandmate added, “He still looks great, doesn’t he?”

Frehley left KISS in 2001 after a second stint that lasted six years. A great deal of acrimony followed, but relations warmed up again in recent times. There had been some speculation in recent months that Frehley could rejoin Kiss this year on either a permanent or temporary basis.

Even though Frehley and Simmons co-wrote two songs for an upcoming Frehley album, and Paul Stanley also collaborated with him on a track, that looks like it might be the extent of their reunion. “I have the connection and the re-connection, and to celebrate the good things we’ve done together is terrific,” Stanley said in February. “I have no thoughts of revisiting the past. I am happy to do whatever i can for anyone who has helped put me where I am – but that doesn’t include getting hitched again to somebody I unhitched from.”

3 of the best kiss songs and Ace wrote all three. Sounds good.

kudos to gene for putting together such a great event for a great cause. excluding, the rarhof because they didn’t perform, this ranks right up there with ace and peter reuniting at eddie’s party a few years back as the only good kiss moments of recent years. gene’s “vault-selling” smile says it all. also, I really enjoyed ace’s gig last week on long island. moreso than the last couple in recent years. god bless the “peaches & herb” of kiss!

Elliot, speaking of Peaches & Herb, wouldn’t it be great if the original 4 “Reunited” for one more run. But if it’s going to happen, Paul better shake his groove thing, as the sand in the hourglass is running low! Hey, what the hell am I doing up so early? It’s Saturday, I’m going back to bed! 😉

as I started watching the first video, I imagined pete being introduced as well , huge applause of course, then the song starts , and paul comes running out mid song , they sounded really good together, gene still has his voice mostly intact , ace still sounds like ace , never could really sing , he plays great, I thought he had lost a lot more weight from the recent pics I saw , still cant picture him in the spaceman outfit anymore, but that was really good – and they were smiling , having fun, and raising money for a great cause , great event gene put together !

it was nice to see that wounds too have seemed mended .they looked to be truly having fun.life is too short, they created something very special together, and has brought tons of joy too a lot of folks,me esp.so it does my heart good too see old friends mend there ways and jam ,if it leads too something great,if not thats ok too.it would be cool to see these guys play here and there together every now and again going forward .kiss is just about done esp with pauls voice ,and genes solo band is just as good as aces solo band,so im ok with that going into the future…
