SINGER JOHNNY SOLINGER QUITS SKID ROW

skidrow640 According to a posting on his Facebook page Skid Row singer Johnny Solinger has just announced that he has quit the band to pursue his solo career.

He writes, “I have decided to leave Skid Row to pursue my solo career. The past 15 years has been a great experience and I have appreciated the opportunity to be the lead singer in one of the most prominent bands of the 1990’s and share stages with the likes of Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and KISS performing in front of millions throughout the world. I wish Skid Row the best of luck in their future pursuits.”

Sid Row’s releases with Solinger include: 2003’s Thickskin, 2006’s Revolutions Per Minute) and the band’s two most recent EPs: United World Rebellion: Chapter One (2013) and Rise Of The Damnation Army – United World Rebellion: Chapter Two (2014).

Rachel Bolan and Dave “The Snake” Sabo will be guests on Eddie Trunk’s SiriusXM satellite radio show Eddie Trunk Live tonight (4/6).

Solinger you A-hole, I heard your big solo (country) album….it sucked harder than Monica Lewinsky bro…….good riddance. Bring Baz and the circus back for one more party. And least he IS entertaining still ( and knows how to rock HARD still)

It’s too bad… Johnny didn’t quit. He was dismissed this morning… Tony Harnell from TNT was hired. In my opinion Skid Row with Johnny WAS Skid Row.. I get that Sebastian had the hits and was with the band in the heyday, but Johnny had his own voice and style and this is a bit of a blow. It always felt right when I saw them on stage.

I’ll see them in Vegas but I am now going mostly for Twisted Sister. Tony Harnell has always been TNT to me.. I can’t see it.. I wish Rachel and Snake the best, and they’ve made great decisions and great music.. But after 26 years as a fan….. I think I am going to stick to the past. Eddie is talking live right now saying “rebirth” and being every bit of Eddie that we know…Much respect… But I might assert that it sounds like it feels odd to him too… (Eddie You are a class act…seriously)
