RUMORS FLYING THAT GUNS N’ ROSES’ AXL ROSE WILL BE FILLING IN FOR BRIAN JOHNSON ON AC/DC’S REMAINING TOUR DATES, AC/DC PR NEITHER CONFIRM NOR DENY

The internet is going crazy with “reports” that Guns N’ Roses frontman, Axl Rose, will be replacing AC/DC lead singer Brian Johnson on the band’s current world tour.

On Tuesday, Jason Bailey, a DJ on Atlanta Radio 100.5, said that “a very very good source” confirmed to him that Rose is taking over singing duty for the Australian rockers.

“This is what I’m being told, Axl was meeting with the AC/DC group, because it’s all but a done deal that Axl will front AC/DC for the 10 remaining shows. All 10, including Atlanta,” he said.

Further confirmation came Wednesday night, from Ross Malcolm Young — nephew of Angus Young, the lead guitarist and founding member of AC/DC , and son of fellow band member Malcolm Young.

“It’s true,” Ross Malcolm Young wrote in a comment he shared on his personal Facebook page about Rose potentially replacing Johnson.

NME reports that a press representative for AC/DC has responded to recent reports that Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose is set to fill in for Brian Johnson as the band’s frontman for the rest of the hard rock outfit’s tour.

Their PR replied, stating: “Nothing official to announce. Will update you if that changes.”

It will not be the same band with a new singer no matter who its is , if they can get rudd back with cliff, angus & stevie they might have a chance to keep some loyal fans but I’m not holding my breath. -as for axl don’t really see this happening

A-hole Rose singing for AC/DC…wouldn’t walk across the street to see that for free. What a disgrace to AC/DC’s legacy ! C’mon Angus, just quit rather than doing that…..

Who are WE to tell him/them or anyone when it’s “time to quit”? This is obviously his passion and his life! Something that is as precious and loved as making music is to someone, it’s not something you can just tell them to “stop”. That’s telling someone to stop everything they ever dreamed up doing, wanted to do, all they know to do! They have every right to continue and do what they want to do! As far as “not being what you want to see” or what other fans want to see. Or a so called “tribute band”…whatever the case may be….let the fans/market tell him if he should continue or not. If no one goes and supports it…then maybe he will want to stop…but someone who lives and bleeds music and rock and roll to just “STOP? I think it shows who he is and his passion for wanting to go on….again..we can’t blame someone or tell someone to stop doing what they love and desire.

I was fourteen years old when Bon Scott died and had fully become a fan of the original AC/DC having first heard them in ’77, so yeah, at 11 when I first heard High Voltage I was hooked. I got Highway to Hell for Christmas ’79 (Van Halen II, & Triumph Just A Game , as well) and Bon was to me AC/DC, he was the voice, like no other. I remember hearing on the radio that Bon died ( 94 Rock out of Syracuse). Me and my friend Chuck were hanging out in his bedroom , just listening to tunes. We were dumbfounded, devastated, couldn’t believe what we just heard. Brian Johnson saved the band, took them where they were about to go with Bon, but I’m not going to say there wasn’t at least one other singer out there that could have done the same thing. No slag on Brian, he’s one of if not the coolest guy in the business and I would never wish any ill will or bad health on him He’s the last guy who deserves any of this to happen to him, health wise or band wise. But Back in Black and maybe For Those About To Rock are the only albums to come close to the magic they created with Bon. But to even consider getting Waxl Rose to sing even a handful of shows is just mind boggling. I personally think it’s an insult to Brian and to Bon Scott’s legacy to have him singing for AC/DC. The guy can’t show up to sing for his own band, so have fun waiting for three or four hours to sing AC/DC songs. I’ll pass!

And one more thing, What’s that mean for GNR? Is he just gonna bail on Slash and Duff and all the fans that have been waiting 20 years to see at least three fifth’s of the original band, they deserve better too!!

I want Joan Jett. Her version of Dirty Deeds is stellar. If we’re gonna this then let’s really mix it up.
