  1. I don’t condone racism or discrimination of any kind. With that said I see that Germany removed Pantera from two of their music festivals due to Philip’s “white power” comment and alleged Nazi salute in 2016 at Dimebash. Whether or not Phil’s intent was humor, true racism or just a stupid drunken off the cuff comment, the fact of the matter is society accepts black people calling each other the n-word. It also accepts black pro athletes raising their fists as a symbol of “black power.” The hypocrisy in our world today is mind blowing
and sadly this woke political bullshit has seeped into the music world.

    1. RPS,

I agree, and while I admit I am not a fan of Pantera, I believe Anselmo has made his mea culpas ten times over. TBH, I have yet to see, or hear of, Anselmo repeating this type of behavior (I could be wrong, but I am not aware of it).

However, someone like Rodgers Waters, who is a raging anti-semite, and even displays his hatred of Israel in both screaming support of BDS, his bullying other musicians/entertainers into doing so, and displaying anti-Jewish imagery during his concerts, nary a cancelation for him. Thank God, I was never a Pink Floyd fan, so his repugnant behavior, is no musical loss to me.

Finally, as you state, the blatant hypocrisy in this country, on so many issues, is not only confounding, disturbing, and shocking, it’s also infuriating and depressing.
