OZZY OSBOURNE HAS COMPLETED WORK A NEW ALBUM, AND SAYS, “IT’S THE GREATEST ALBUM I’VE DONE”

Ozzy Osbourne spoke to the Sun, and recounted, that while he was dealing with his various health issues, he also worked on a new solo album.

Ozzy revealed, “I’ve made a new album and it’s helped me get back on track. I was just lying in my own self-pity for months. It’s the greatest album I’ve done.”

Osbourne credited support from Elton John, Tony Iommi, Slash and Jonathan Davis for lifting his spirits, but reveals that it was his collaboration with Post Malone that really got the ball rolling for his next album.

“I’d never even heard of this kid. He wanted me to sing on his song ‘Take What You Want,’ so I did and then one thing led to another. I started recording a new album with Post Malone’s producer Andrew Watt. It’s only nine tracks but it was a catalyst to get me to where I am today,” says Osbourne.

He continues, “If it wasn’t for making this record I would still be [in] traction, thinking, ‘I’m going to be lying here forever.’ I’ve missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album I thought I was dying. But that got me off my arse.”

Ozzy also revealed during the interview that one of the new songs is called Ordinary Man. He also added, “This is my first recording in a studio for ten years, so I do feel a bit out of touch. Music goes straight online these days and that’s quicker than it takes me to write a text. It’s all about downloads and streaming now. What the f–k does that mean? What’s Spotify? I thought it was a skin problem where you woke up spotified.”

Osbourne added, “The album was all finished in four weeks. I said to Sharon that I didn’t feel like I’d made an album because we haven’t ended up screaming at each other.”

Ozzy recently told Rolling Stone magazine, that he is “hoping that I’ll be OK and ready to go by January [when his No More Tours 2 tour is set to resume]. I’m really keeping my fingers crossed…”

I’d put Technical Ecstasy and Paranoid before his solo records, which are very good.

It would be impossible to top the first 2 albums.
I like ultimate sin. I know it was commercial, but still a good album. I haven’t really been impressed with Ossmosis or the later albums

I agree Charles, once he started singing about Perry Mason, he lost me.
