LED ZEPPELIN RELEASE TRAILER FOR SECOND SET OF REISSUES

ledzeppelin400 Led Zeppelin have released a trailer for the second wave of their reissue campaign– featuring a previously unreleased version of classic track Black Dog.

Following the huge success of the first series of reissues which included: Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III, Led Zeppelin IV and Houses Of The Holy will be available on October 28th.

Both albums have been remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page, and come with a companion disc of unreleased related material.

Each will be available in single CD, deluxe 2CD, single LP, deluxe 2LP and digital formats. Super deluxe box set editions contain CD, LP and digital formats, 80-page hardback book and a high-quality print of the original album cover – the first 30,000 of which will be individually numbered.

Originally released in November 1971, Led Zeppelin IV has been certified 23x platinum and entered the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. Houses Of The Holy, launched two years later, has sold more than 11 million copies.

    1. While you are entitled to your opinion, those groups influenced the bands you probably like and were precursors to the genre. Ozzy has made no secret of his love for the Beatles, as have countless other bands. Ditto with Zeppelin and the Stones.

      Dana from ET.com 🙂

    2. Metal Warrior: I agree about the Stones…but THE BEATLES? You, sir, are sorely mistaken. They INVENTED the way to write a perfect pop song! What seems easy and corny to play to some is actually not. The chemistry between them is unmatched. In 7 years of work they created the most timeless music, not to mention how diverse they became over the years. They influenced EVERYONE, from Queen, Cheap Trick, Kiss, you name it. I will say this, however: Jimmy Page is an astoundingly sloppy guitarist. I mean, he’s all over the place. Yet, the emotion he brought to the table is original to him. I can write a book on here as to why the Beatles were and still are the most important band in pop rock music history. you may be sick of hearing their songs, but 50 years later these songs still strike a chord within music lovers’ hearts and will continue to do so long after we are dead and gone. They are the Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin of the pop rock world. Forever young, and timeless beyond measure.

    3. A tree without roots dies; The Bealtes, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin are just three of countless roots in the root system of music/rock ‘n’roll. If you don’t know your roots, you don’t have a life and you don’t own your future.

    4. WHAT?? Led Zeppelin are legendary for inspiring MOST of the bands on here. The question is not whether they were metal. They were most definitely a hard rock band, just as much so as most of the bands we talk about on this site. Btw, all eight original LZ albums are gems! Certainly not over-rated. I respect that you may not like them, but they are certainly not overrated.
The Beatles have sold so many albums that they dwarf Elvis and Garth Brooks combined. The Stones…well, what ever.

    5. I’ve never been a big fan of The Beatles, but The Stones, Zeppelin, are you serious? The Stones & Zeppelin are the foundation for EVERYTHING that came afterwards. If what they have done over the last 45-50 years doesn’t speak for itself, you’re not really listening. Mike B., no love for The Stones? I’m really surprised, because I know you have great taste in music. Do me a favor, and yourself, check out The Rolling Stones DVD Four Flicks, and after you have watched all 4 DVD’s, then tell me you still don’t like/love The Stones, because if that DVD set don’t do it for you, nothing will! The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin have NEVER been overrated, they can’t be, they’re too good to be overrated. 🙂

    6. Hey Doug,
I have total respect four all three bands, but have never really been able to get into the Stones. Its never too late though. I like a lot of bands that were influenced by them. I have a CD of their greatest hits–the one with the boot on the cover? I have to dig it out of my CD collection to find the exact title. I have always loved the Beatles since I was a kid watching the Yellow Submarine every Easter LOL! And Led Zeppelin still blows me away. Every song is amazing.

    7. They predate both of those genres. The Beatles last few albums changed rock music and Zeppelin, along with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, laid the groundwork for the hard rock and heavy metal bands that followed. Dana’s right, we’re all entitled to our opinions and what I just said about The Beatles and Led Zeppelin is my opinion. I never really liked the Stones, but they were still an incredibly influential band.

    1. No Quarter is one of my favorite. Actually, pretty much the first five albums. Anything from the first five. The last three albums (I’m not including CODA) are very good too but the first five are my favorite. Oh, what am I talking about! All of them are gems! Period!! Maybe they are the only band to have a perfect catalog. Damn, and it wasn’t too long ago that I bought the box set.

  1. Metal Warrior…seriously? Are you out of your mind? Do you know not even have the slightest clue that without any of these 3 ” over-rated” bands you would never be taunting the name ” metal warrior”? Opinions are like d–ks…everyone has one or knows one. Educate and think before you speak! Tell me the last metal band that has a 23x platinum album who was not influenced by Zeppelin??!
    Gawd….ingnorance is bliss!!!!

  2. Houses Of The Holy is my favorite Led Zeppelin album of all time. The Song Remains The Same is epic, No Quarter is a trippy masterpiece and The Rain Song is one of the most beautiful songs ever. I can’t put my finger on it, because I love the first four Zeppelin albums and Physical Graffiti, but Houses Of The Holy just connected with me. It never gets old listening to it.

  3. Metal Warrior… i highly suggest you change your I.D. on this forum and start over cause no one will ever take anything you have an opinion on seriously EVER!!!!!!!
