KISS THEM GOODBYE, BAND ANNOUNCES “END OF THE ROAD” FINAL WORLD TOUR

After a 45-year career, KISS announced they will embark on their final word tour, during their appearance on NBC’s America’s Got Talent on Wednesday.

The band performed their hit Detroit Rock City to launch AGT‘s season finale episode before announcing the news. “This is going to be our last tour,” they announced onstage. “It will be the most explosive, biggest show we’ve ever done. People who love us, come to see us. If you’ve never seen us, this is the time. This will be the show.”

The band has not yet revealed tour dates, but they said in a statement that their final shows will be part of a multi-year End of the Road world tour and that they’d announce updates on their official website in the coming weeks…

…“All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years,” Kiss said in a statement. “This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in… Unapologetic and Unstoppable.”

Did anyone catch kiss on AGT ?? I always watch when they pop up on tv. I am convinced they clicked everything out and were using a vocal track for Paul maybe some music parts as well, and I honestly dont know how I feel about it – he also looked wiped out and out of breath standing next to the host after just 1 song ….. I know he’s 66 I”ve just never seen it before- It could be at this point his voice is so burnt out he has no other choice if they want to do this last tour – if they come within and hour or so drive I will go see them out of respect even though I’m not a fan of this version of kiss – and I do hope they invite ace and pete to do some shows –

My farewell tour was in 2000 at MSG with Skid Row and Ted Nugent. If they want to do it right they bring out at least all surviving members throughout the tour
And Dana ,Ted was awesome put on a great show
Skid row was ok without Bach on vocals wasn’t same for me

      Charles,

I have to say, that the vocalist is usually the most difficult member to replace in a band, especially if they have a voice that is powerful or unique. I always dug Sebastian’s voice, so I can understand that he would be difficult to replace.

I think the only time it ever worked for me, was when Robert Mason replaced Oni Logan in Lynch Mob. Both have great voices and Mason managed to transition easily into the role.

      D 🙂

I’ve been there since the beginning, seen the original Farewell Tour-But this is turning into Star Wars. Episode I II II etc. I will always listen to the band up to Psycho Circus, I just can’t take the replacements. No disrespect to their musicianship, they are not the core that created the excitement. I also seen the Dynasty Tour but we were treated to John Cougar as the opener. I’m guessing Priest was going over too well by the time they hit Duluth MN.

I actually thought they are pretty good on AGT and did well integrating into the show. Three year tour is a bit much, but good to see these guys start the process of finally bidding farewell. KISS was my first concert, the Love Gun tour. Life changing….

They stayed a bit too late at the party but that’s ok; there really was no other way for them to stop… I don’t know why you guys are carping on them so much; what did you expect? You thought they should just go quietly? They are going out kicking and screaming and that’s what made them great in the first place….I cut them a break on this one, and as I said, they put so much care into their records, even if we didn’t always understand their musical direction…there was a quality there and a consistency that you could always count on…you knew with a new Kiss record it was always going to be interesting. ..
