KISS’ GENE SIMMONS SAYS THE BAND WOULD NEVER REUNITE WITH FORMER BAND MEMBERS ACE FREHLEY AND PETER CRISS

Gene-Simmons400 KISS’ singing bassist Gene Simmons says that although the band have reunited with former members Ace Frehley (guitar) and Peter Criss (drums) in the past, that fans should not expect that to happen in the future.

Speaking with The Tampa Tribute, Simmons was asked if the band would ever consider reuniting if their two estranged members “cleaned up their act.” The bassist stated, “Not a chance. We’ve already danced that dance three different times. No way will we reunite. It wouldn’t be fair to [current members] Tommy [Thayer] and Eric [Singer]. It wouldn’t be right.”

Simmons also addressed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction with Criss and Frehley, adding, “We only did the induction with Ace and Peter because the fans wanted it. But it was a slap in the fact that they didn’t acknowledge Tommy Thayer and Eric. They’ve been in the band longer than Ace and Peter. If the Grateful Dead can have 10 members in and out of the band and a lyricist who was never in the band in the Hall, how can you explain that?”

KISS are currently on tour with Def Leppard.

  1. Oh really Gene?? Wow, that’s a surprise! What him and Paul fail to realize is that they could reunite with Ace and Peter for ONE show. A final show. They could book some big stadium. With pay per view, Netflix, live cd/dvd, merchandise, and the obscene cost of tickets that fans I’m sure would pay, they could make more in one night then they probably have in the last ten years!! I know Peter couldn’t tour but I think if they rehearsed for several months he could get himself into shape to play a two-hour show.

Hey Eddie, is Gene’s comment true about Tommy and Eric being in the band longer than Peter and Ace?? Just curious.

    1. No Fake Frehley was not in the band longer unless you count the years he was tour manager and got their dinners.
Peter to Tommy: “Now go bring me my spaghetti!”

    2. If you were a fan you’d know the answer to that question. And yes, that is accurate. Also, Eric Carr was in Kiss longer than Peter as well.

    3. Is it the number of years that counts or the musical contribution? In the end, all that counts are the classic years with the classic songs and the classic stage show (If not why would they try to keep up that image to the presetn day??), no matter how long it lasted. Quality does not equal quantity.

  2. Yeah Gene that was really fair what you did to Bruce. They put dollar signs in front of you and you kicked him to the curb. I use to be a big KISS fan but after all this Gene and Paul bullshit the last few years I can care less if they fell off the face of the earth right now.

  3. Someone tell this clown to shut up already!!!! Like fucking up the hall of fame ceremony wasn’t enough? Btw nice birds nest on your head you moron! I bet it’s embarrassing being a moamar ghadaffi look alike! Keep the make up on because no one wants to see that ugly mug!

    1. Real mature dude. Gene was asked a question in an interview and he answered it politely. Quit throwing a tantrum.

    2. He doesn’t have to answer the question. He should really stop answering questions about ace & peter because it is really getting annoying! He obviously loves the publicity…………………….

    3. My question would be “why did your position change so radically vs what you said after the HOF announce?? But that’s why they don’t do interviews with me..

    4. Exactly. Anyone who is not in the gene & paul cult is not allowed to interview the band. I mean blocking fans on twitter because they disagreed about the hall of fame situation is one example of how intolerant gene & paul are to other opinions.

    5. Pete these same
questions have been asked numerous times and have been answered numerous times…Gene should have just answered this continuous question this way, “with all due respect to Ace & Peter I’m not going to rehash this question that has already been answered anymore”!!!
