KISS’ GENE SIMMONS MAKES A SNARKY COMMENT ONSTAGE ABOUT BANDMATE PAUL STANLEY’S SINGING VOICE

KISS bassist/singer Gene Simmons, who is currently in Australia on a solo tour, apparently took a swipe at his bandmate Paul Stanley while onstage.

Video posted to YouTube by fans who attended one of Simmons’ recent solo concerts, which featured Ace Frehley, shows the bassist calling “Bulls**t” on his fellow KISS co-founder before bringing some VIP fans on stage to sing Rock and Roll All Nite.

“We need some help though; we can’t sing the song by ourselves,” Simmons told the audience, before adding sarcastically. “‘Cause I’m 69 and I’ve lost my voice.”

What’s more, this wasn’t even the only time on this tour that Simmons called out Stanley — who, by the way, had surgery in 2011 to help fix “recurring vocal cord issues.”

“I’ll sing everything,” Simmons said in another video. “Because my voice always works. I don’t lose my voice. I don’t lose my voice…Paul Stanley.”

After a long pause, and some surprised oohs from the crowd, he added, “No, I love him.”

Simmons’ apparent amusement with Stanley’s vocal cords comes off as more than a bit caustic.

I don’t think it’s appropriate for Gene to call out his partner, Paul, like this in public. It’s bad for business and doesn’t positively promote the brand KI$$. I think any issues Gene has with Paul should be discussed in private.

But who knows what Gene was thinking….he’s said before that there’s no such thing as bad publicity….

Hmm… I mentioned 2 days ago on 9/4 that there was some more “Bad Blood” brewing between Gene and Paul, I should’ve mentioned this YouTube video then! 😉 Why is Gene calling out Paul? Cuz he’s a “War Machine!” 😉 Nah, it’s like my buddy Rattle said, quoting Gene “there’s no such thing as bad publicity!”
Ahh, thank God hockey season is just right around the corner! The coolest game on ice! Drop the puck! Go Vegas, baby!

It might be inappropriate, but I’d say I can understand him having to listen to Paul croaking his way through the songs and relying on Eric’s and Tommy’s vocal help for quite some time now while at the same time glorifying himself in interviews. I might think that Gene is just fed up with it but cannot let go of Kiss so his anger will find another way out, eventually. Maybe he let Paul the run ship for far too long. After all, he is the only who can call out Paul, at least in private, to end it or else, step aside.

There is going to be a helluva discussion in private- This is just my humble opinion,… gene is probably just tired of dealing with Pauls’ vocal issues , he hears the same things all the fans have been talking about, pauls voice has been shot for years & he might think its really hurting kiss at this point & he obviously doesn’t care what Paul thinks or he wouldn’t have said it on a stage in a country where kiss is still extremely popular. One thing I do know is in life personal or professional when you want to be done with someone or something this is the kind of thing you do….. there will be some blowback for sure
