Big deal. Lets see if the tribute band lineup will fill arenas in America lol. I am so disgusted with Gene and Paul. Thanks for dragging Kiss through the mud, guys. You have been a massive embarrassment to yourselves and the longtime fans like myself. So disgusted. Shame on you.

I’m so glad so many of you fake KISS fans won’t be attending any of the shows. Leaves more room for real fans. The same people on every KISS post whine about fake Ace and fake Peter, wah wah wah. Newsflash: it’s not 1977 anymore. This is KISS now and these are their last shows. You should be happy you have the opportunity to see them one last time, but instead you denigrate, insult, and slander the greatest band in the world that you “claim” you are fans of – if only time had stopped in 1979. The disrespect for a band you supposedly love is bewildering. I’m sure Greta Van Fleet is anxiously awaiting your support as long as they can keep all original members.

I guess Eddie Trunk is a fake KISS fan too?

dcinsc7, you still don’t get it, and obviously you never will. I would have zero problem, ZERO, with Eric & Tommy being in the band if they were just allowed to be themselves! That’s all, it’s that simple, see, the REAL KISS fans get it, and understand, obviously you’re not a real fan.

KISS and Led Zep are far and away my two favorite bands. I truly don’t have an issue with Eric and Tommy wearing the makeup – Ace and Peter sold their rights to the characters of their own free will (as I have said before, read CK Lendt’s outstanding book, “KISS & Sell” for the full story) and Gene and Paul are free to do what they want with them. My issue is the quality of the show at this point. This is a punishing schedule, whether we are talking secondary markets or not, and it certainly isn’t all of it. For me, it isn’t all about Paul’s voice or lack thereof; it is also about mobility during the show. Gene and Paul used to be all over the stage and Paul used to be able to give David Lee Roth a run for his money even while wearing the boots. Now? Not even close. They just stand there. On America’s Got Talent, Paul seemed worn out and winded after an abbreviated performance. Gene isn’t close to his old self either. I know it happens, but I’m not sure I want to pay the kind of money they are asking to be disappointed. It is hard enough to see Paul on video clips or one off performances struggling to get through a classic song. I don’t think I can sit through a two hour show. Which takes me back to Led Zep. I always wanted to see them reform but Robert Plan has basically said he just can’t do it anymore and he doesn’t want to destroy the legacy or memory of the greatest rock and roll band in the world. The Celebration Day DVD from the 2007 final show is really good, but he can’t hit the notes like he used to and he knows it. Now, I respect him for his decision. Paul Stanley used to talk about boxers who stayed in the ring too long and tarnished their legacy. I hate to say it, but I think he has done the same thing. A lot of pyro and stage effects can’t make up for a lack of energy and vocal range. But, in the end, I am still sad to see them go because all my idols are beginning to pack it in and there’s not a whole lot out there to fill their shoes…

I am a real KISS fan and I will be there. One last chance, I would not miss it. I think we would have all liked Tommy and Eric to have created their own characters, but that didnt happen. As a real KISS fan, the costumes are secondary to me. I said good bye to Ace and Peter being in KISS a looong time ago.

Am I reading that tickets can go as high as $1000?
Not that I am going to see this tour – but I would prefer a new iPhone over a concert – plus the iPhone will sound better than Paul.

For that price, Gene better let me come to his mansion any time I want.

Well, he always says the KISS fans are his boss.

Have you watched that video on YT that was posted yesterday where all 4 current members are sitting in a very small room with a few fans talking about the upcoming tour but actually repeating the same old rap? There is one mentioning like that it would be nice if past members would make guest appearance .. other than that, nothing but words
If that is supposed to be the biggest show ever and going out with a bang, what kind of lousy sort of press event or promotion is this ( type in End of … plus Build)??? I would have expected a big press conference to promote the alledgedly big event … this is lame. I also think, maybe they tried to get Ace to be some part of it but he declined because Tommy would still be there .. anyway this is all left in the dark by now, maybe deliberately so to create hope in the fans’ minds thus selling more tickets. From what have been telling us in recent interviews, no fan can be sure of what he will eventually get for his money .. from the picture with the new costumes, however, it must be assumed that Kiss will appear in its current lineup. Now, will more people than on past tours buy tickets when it is absolutely uncertain, right now that tickets go on sale, what kind of ,bonus’ they might get? I doubt it. But then again, people might buy into it because of nostalgia … your last chance to see us, ever .. we promise! … It is all a bit fishy and nebulous … I hope long-time fans will wait unti P and G openly answer the most important questions: a. is Ace back in the band? b. what other past members will be a regular part of the show on all dates, not just e.g. MSG?
