I am fine with the set list. The show at foxwoods is gonna be great, but what I still don’t get is why steel panther? I still dont get that band. maybe im supposed too..I just dont get it. they are good but why not a new band like kobra and the lotus? or any number of other metal acts. steel panther should stick to the side comedy stage circuit. great musicians..I suppose I like some songs but I just dont get them….Am I the only one that feels that way? Eddie how do you feel?
and how do I get a copy of my new cd directly to you?
Maybe you haven’t seen them. Or you have no sense of humor? 😉 They’re a FUN band. Yes a parody, but a VERY solid metal band when you strip away the lyrics and act. The guitarist played in Fight, remember. Russ is a fucking BEAST of a player and you’ll see that when you go.
Word up, DC. Fight was a killer band!! Russ was fng awesome.
Every member of that band is killer…some people just dont get it. Thank Goodness that Priest does!
Why would people complain that there opening with a new song? They have a new album so why wouldn’t they open up with a new song? Be a waste of there time making a great new CD and play the same old songs. Iron maiden do this when a new CD comes out and I think that the way it should be! If people don’t like bands playing new music that the band worked hard for then why bother liking the band? Living in the past makes know sense gotta live in the hear&now and that what the mighty priest is doing moving on but still playing the great songs from there past. Hopefully they add more new songs to the list show cases the new music that they are so proud.
I really think it’s the right thing to do opening with a new one. Everybody’s gonna be there and hear it, and I’ll bet there are plenty out there who have not heard the new album. Sometimes when older bands tour, they play a new song and people head for the restrooms. Maybe this will catch some of those people by surprise and spur them to check out the new album. And it’s got to be nice for the band too, change it up a little. I always wonder though, take a band like Priest who aren’t playing the big arenas like “back in the day”, there’s the songs they say they “have to play” for the “casual fans” who supposedly make up a big chunk of the audience. But is it really? Are the casual fans the ones dropping $100 on a ticket, or is it the die hards who WOULD rather hear “All Guns Blazing” or “Saints in Hell” instead of “Breaking the Law”? I really don’t know, but I wonder if there’s more hard core fans in the seats these days than some bands think.
last thing eddie, motley crue set list is 20 songs.vince neil is belting out 20 songs.why not the metal god????????not 25,not 26,but 20 seems fair, from the metal god.eddie, ask rob to belt ot 5 more songs in brooklyn,ny on oct/9.please.i love priest, but i want MORE.steel panther is great, like them too,i want more metal gods.thanx eddie.
Not sure why you are counting songs and not set time. Priest is doing several epic songs over 7 minutes long. I see no problem with the set Priest is playing. Hard to ask guys in their 60’s for more than a nearly 2 hour set when most their age co -headline and do 75 minutes.. It is not 1983 sadly
vince sounds like shit though
Eddie, you going to be able to get them back on the show when they circle back around? Although, I know they’re not here on a Monday…
I agree – only 12 songs pre-encore? It’s a pretty short set – plus waaayyyy too many long solos and crowd sing-alongs. They’re turning 3 and a half minute songs into 8 minute jams… I’d rather hear more tunes. Pretty weak for $100 if I say so myself. Rush is about their age and have been doing a 2 hour plus show for years now…
