Guitarist John 5 (Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie) has announced a new instrumental piece called, The Ghost, which can be heard below.
Regarding the song, he says, “This song called The Ghost, is pretty much about my guitar that came out earlier this year. The guitar is, to me, the perfect guitar. It has everything; looks, durability, amazing sound, so the only thing I could do is create a song that shows all of its glory. When the guitar came out, I went right into the studio and recorded this song with the [it], and I couldn’t think of a more fitting title than The Ghost.”
In a featured article in Guitar World, the instrument is described as a “[Fender] Telecaster signature guitar that offer[s] a radical reinterpretation of the Big F’s classic single-cut design…with [a] bold white-on-red colorway. It is said to be inspired by the popular New York fashion powerhouse, Supreme, which also features an unusual white-finished fretboard.

I get it that Motley Crue is a great money gig for John 5 – and he’s playing with his buddies – but he’s actually WAY too good for them. This guy’s guitar playing is in Steve Vai territory!
