EddieTrunk.com has learned that Trixter guitarist Steve Brown will be the replacement guitarist in Def Leppard filling in for Vivian Campbell while he recovers from cancer treatments.
Brown will make his debut with the band this Sunday when Def Leppard plays Wembley Stadium during the NFL’s Dolphins/Raiders game.

Vivian is getting KARMA from turning his back on Dio’s death. Vivian used to be a great guitar player on the first 3 Dio records. I saw them live twice. He was great. Anything after that was garbage. Def Leppard sucked after Pyromania. They are the heavy metal AIr SUpply. I can’t believe people actually pay money to go see them. Now Vivian wanted to o out and play Dio stuff. Dio put the horns on ya loser!!!
So basically you are wishing cancer on someone because they had a falling out with a former employer over money? In your warped logic was was Ronnie’s karma for his tragic passing? I LOVED RJD as everyone knows and we were close, but this is very sad to take such a position. And by the way, Def Leppard never claimed to be a metal band.
Mike,
I left your comment for Eddie approve because I was so tempted to trash it.
If you understand anything about the laws of Karma, you would relaize that what you wrote about Vivian doesn’t exactly bode well for you in the eyes of said Karma. Thinking cancer is a just punishment for someone who left a band under less than ideal circumstances and then relishing in that knowledge? Sorry, but that is really cruel.

Mike, man Karma’s a b–ch and it’s gonna come back on you for words like that. Pause before you type!
Get well Viv and rip it up Steve filling in.
I saw Trixter open for Skid Row in Staten island. Trixter had their first bass player, and Sebastian had just joined Skid Row, with the big hair like Axl had in the beginning. I don’t remember much about Skid Row except all the hair covering their faces. I do remember Trixter – it was clear that the guitar player was the best overall talent that night.
Hey Mike, at slave wages Dio paid Vivian he made the right move getting out of the Dio fold.
C’mon guys
Vivian Campbell is a piece of s–t, as quoted by Ronnie James Dio on YouTube.
Ronnie gave the guy with a woman’s first name and soup for a last name his big break and all the ungrateful f-tard has done since has made a career out of slamming the guy who gave him one.
Nobody deserves, or should ever get cancer, even this slimeball who joined Def Leppard after all the songs people know and want to hear had been recorded and will be played live at every Def Leppard concert forever. Vivian is a massive downgrade after Steve Clark and was probably chosen because he likes soccer.
I only wish Vivian well. NO ONE should ever have to deal with cancer, but I’ll bet most of us either have, or have known people who are close to us who have. Good luck to Steve. I’m sure he’ll do great.
