I bet he makes more than the $500 a week with Ozzy, freakin’ Randy must have been getting $250, better than 3.2 bars.

I would love to know what Randy would have been doing know if he were alive. I was big into hard rock for a handful of years – probably from when I was around 13 or 14 till my early 20s. Even by then I was getting away from it. Most of those guys are all trapped. It’s real obvious – they get big playing a type of music they were into when they were young and now they have to stick with it. It’s very clear the guys in Metallica aren’t feeling the same anger they felt when they started, but their audience won’t let them mellow out. That’s why I have so much respect for bands like Led Zep and Queen. At least you felt they were being honest with their music. Same with the Beatles. Plant mellowed out. Queen went in a lot of different directions. I didn’t care much for later Queen stuff, but they did enough great stuff during their first couple albums.

That’s not a lot of money per note! Remember the Bill Murray/ National Lampoon “Mr. Robert’s Neighborhood” bit, when Mr. Roberts interviews a “bass player.” Funny stuff….

Castillo was in 3.2 joints and Hollyweird before Ozzy, I’d chuck beers with him & Randy Hanson back in the day. Hanson is amazing. Ozzy should hook up.
