DAVID LEE ROTH ADDS DATES TO HIS LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY

David Lee Roth has added four more shows to his upcoming Las Vegas residency.

In addition to playing at Mandalay Bay’s House Of Blues on December 31st, January 1st, 5th, 7th and 8th, the Van Halen singer will now also also perform on January 14th-15th and January 21st-22nd.

Roth Las Vegas residency dates are now as follows:

December 31st, 2021
January 1st, 5th, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 2022

Roth explained his decision to extend the residency in an audio message earlier today. He said (as transcribed by blabbermouth.net), “…David Lee here…I had no idea how many of you wanted to pay to see me go. [Laughs] So I’m putting more tickets on sale, instead of doing the wrong thing and pissing more people off. I have industry professionals now ringing in, telling me, ‘Dave, at your age, you should be in the middle of your third retirement. Did you watch Rocky movies? He’s on his seventh. Same guy, Rambo — fifth. He’s about 14 retirements ahead of you.’ Just when I get out, they drag me back in.

…I’m gonna extend my world goodbye tour of Las Vegas at the House Of Blues for two more weekends — like any good f–king barbecue. Just like you would, if you could.”

In early October Roth told the  Las Vegas Review-Journal, “I am throwing in the shoes. I’m retiring. This is the first, and only, official announcement. … You’ve got the news. Share it with the world.”

That’s “The Trouble With Never…” Las Vegas was made for Diamond Dave, and vice versa.

Forgot to add, not liking the new changes here to the site at all, new isn’t always better, why is it so hard to go back to the old site? – 9 spaces for the latest music news, 3 or 4 for the once a month Trunk Report, and a small space for everything else…

I agree, the old site was better. Change isn’t always good…..DLR vs Hagar, the Blah Album, KI$$ imposters, Dickinson vs Bailey, Ozzy vs Dio….well, that Dio change was good…..:o)

Worst change of all was/is those KI⚡⚡ imposters, impersonating legends might work in Las Vegas, but NOWHERE else.

      Hi Guys,

Would you all please “tell” me the specific things you do not like about it, so I can pass them along.

Thank you all in advance of your help.

      XO

Hi, Dana, well, I like that there are now 8 rows for the music news on the homepage instead of 3 or 4, but what I don’t like is that now the latest/music news in on the bottom of the page, it should be on or near the top like it used to be. My other complaint is the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram icons are right in the middle of the screen and they get in the way (especially on my phone) and block some of the content as well. Other than that, all good! 🙂

Thank you, as more post, I will pass them along in one email.

      Hi Dana,

To me, the more important stuff should be listed first:

      1) Latest News – it’s what I come here for. I do like 8 stories listed vs. the old 4.
      2) Trunk Report – just wish Eddie posted here more frequently.
      3) Appearances – good to know, though not in my (Chicago) area much.
      4) Presents – again, nice to know, OK with plugs for shows & sponsors.
      5) Twitter – will click on once in awhile to get a current update on Eddie’s schedule.
      6) Instagram – could care less, I’m not joining or subscribing.

My main reason to visit this site, almost daily, is for the Latest News and the wonderful comments and witty banter among the regular participants. I wish there was a like/dislike choice we could also add to the comments as opposed to writing out a reply.
I believe the majority of people coming to this site are of a certain generation, and not everyone is dedicated to ALL the social media platforms. I just want substantive information here, not to “click” all over to boost egos and create ad revenue for traffic.

That’s my rant & feedback, keep up the great work Dana!

      Mikey,

Thank you so much, I will pass these along. If anyone else cares to comment, please do soon, so I can send the list off ASAP.

Hi Dana. Being that we live in a world that’s constantly trending on socials and all, I understand the need to have those in the forefront if anyone wants to remain relevant. I do think that they should split the screens at the top with Socials on the left and news/updates on the right with upcoming dates/shows on the bottom. I’m with those that don’t subscribe to Twatter, Fb or Insta. I do look at their feeds mind you, but I won’t subscribe.

Thanks for considering us and welcoming feedback in the face of possibly feeling overly criticized.

Cheers & just say no to covid. If Nancy Reagan were alive today that’s what she’d say….lol. ;o]==

My only comment is the fb Twitter insta icons interfere when I’m typing on my phone like right now lol , they are obviously placed in the wrong spot –
