In a rare and unusual mix of rock legends, AC/DC lead singer Brian Johnson made a surprise appearance at Billy Joel’s concert at Madison Square Garden and played the band’s classic, You Shook Me All Night Long.
Joel introduced Johnson about halfway through the show Friday night, saying Johnson was part of one of the best bands he’d ever seen live. The packed arena erupted when Joel and his band began playing the rock anthem with Johnson on lead vocals.
The show was part of a series of concerts by Joel at the Garden. He’s playing there monthly as an artist-in-residence.

Often referred to by KISS fans as “The Fifth KISS,” Sean Delaney was the right hand man of Bill Aucoin, their first manager and the man credited with helping shoot them to superstardom. Delaney served as tour manager, choreographer, and co-wrote songs with the band. He was also asked by Gene Simmons to produce his self titled 1978 solo album.
Russ had a relationship with the band through Sean and also his father, who roadied for KISS.
Throughout the interview, hosts Michael Brandvold and Tommy Sommers hear Russ tell stories about his uncle and what he meant to KISS along with personal stories from his childhood being around the band out of their make up and taking his third grade classmates to watch the band live from the 5th row.
In a shocking story, Russ reveals that Bill Aucoin actually sold the rights to KISS in the early 1980s which contradicts reports of him being fired by the band or quitting because of “creative and directional differences.”
Russ will also be at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony representing the memory of his uncle, Sean, and his legacy with the Hottest Band In The World.

As previously reported, Original KISS drummer, Peter Criss will be special guest on this Saturday’s (March 22nd) episode of That Metal Show.
In the preview clip posted below, as transcribed by blabbermouth.net, Criss explains how he found out about KISS’ Rock Hall induction and he expressed how heartbroken he is that we won’t be performing at the event.
“I got a call from [KISS leaders] Gene [Simmons] and Paul [Stanley], which I hadn’t got a call from them in many, many, many, many, many moons, including when I had my cancer,” Criss said. “And so, all of a sudden, I get a call and I’m being congratulated. ‘We’re gonna have fun.’ And I’m thinking… And I know, as I wrote in my book, there’s a lot of bad blood, and I just don’t trust [those guys] anymore. And I took it with a grain of salt and said, ‘Maybe.’ But then again, I had to go back and read the book myself and go, ‘What, are you crazy? Nothing’s changing. It doesn’t matter what goes on. Something’s gonna happen.’ And I said to [my wife], ‘It sounds too good to be true.'”
He continued: “The fact that we’re not perfoming is heartbreaking. I wanted to. I thought we were going to. I was all up for it. I was crazy enough to think, even if I had to get back in the ‘Cat’ outfit, I would have been proud to do it. Because, whether in or out of makeup, I’ll always be the ‘Catman.'”

KISS frontman Gene Simmons spoke with Radio.com about New York Post’s report that the band was being sued by Eric Carr’s heirs.
Radio.com: Who are these guys suing you, [if it is not Eric Carr’s family]?
Simmons: We don’t know, we have no idea, our lawyers are trying to find out who these people are. The Caravello family — Eric Carr’s family — released a statement along with us, saying we have no idea who these people are, these are lies and we intend to find out who they are, and why they’re saying these things. For one thing, it’s slanderous. They’re saying that Eric hated being in the band. What? He was the sweetest guy in the world. Eric and the family and the fans have been slapped in the face by these people and we intend to make sure that there’s justice.

Andy Greene of Rolling Stone reports:
Rush are planning a lengthy “41st anniversary” tour for 2015, according to guitarist Alex Lifeson. “The three of us just had a meeting,” Lifeson tells Rolling Stone. “We said, ‘Let’s not talk about anything band-wise for the next year. Let’s separate ourselves and come back rejuvenated.’ Unfortunately, the other people at that meeting didn’t hear what we were talking about, so there are already plans being made for spring of 2015. It’s going to be a 41st anniversary tour, or whatever they’re going to call it.”
The specifics of the tour are still in flux. “We haven’t really talked seriously about what we want to do,” says Lifeson. “But I think we’re probably going to lean towards making it a real sort of fan event, and really try to put something together that’s very pleasing for the fans across the board. That’s always been difficult, for us to sort of balance things.
Rush’s last tour was centered around the group’s new album, Clockwork Angels, as well as deep cuts from their 1980s catalog. They didn’t play a single song from the 1970s until a show-closing medley of tracks from 2112. “We want to try and play different material this time,” Lifeson says. “I’ve always wanted to do some rarer Rush material, and this should be a good opportunity to do that. I also think it’s going to be a long tour. We just need to stay healthy until then.”
This year marks the group’s 40th anniversary with drummer Neil Peart, but the group was too burned out to celebrate with a tour.
