  1. I have to say I was completely slack jawed at the utter collapse of Paul’s vocals. It was a bizarre performance and one that certainly couldn’t have helped sell tickets to what looks to be a poor selling tour this summer with Leppard. But I do have to say this… Tommy and Eric were the best musicians on that stage last night. Paul really gave the KISS brand a black eye last night. And Gene looked none too happy about it.

  2. I knew the Paul haters would come out of the woodwork after last night. On the other hand, Caleb’s performance with Ace and Peter later in the show was great…… oh wait…. that didn’t happen….. nevermind.

    1. I don’t think you actually know what the word hate means. Stating the obvious about Paul’s performance? That isn’t it.

    2. Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t know Literal Larry was posting on the board.

    3. I didn’t know Obtuse Oswald, Sensitive Sally, and Forum-junkie Frankie were taking up residency here. “Hater” is such a nonsense word. And just an immature response for the infantile who simply can not subject themselves or the world around them to criticism. Paul sounded horrible. It doesn’t minimize his accomplishments, but it’s very, very hard to listen to.

  3. I am so sick of people bashing Paul. Not one of our idols can sing like they used to, I dont really want to use examples because it kind of hurts and I dont want to seem like im putting them down. Theyre older now. But when you’re in an arena, in the moment, and its loud, it doesnt matter that much imo. Ive seen them all lately, David Lee Roth, Halford, yes even Brian Johnson, Ozzy, and so forth. They are not in their 20’s anymore. Who are any of you to demand anyone elses retirement? ? Im so tired of the brutal harshness in the comments section here , im actually done with this site. I’ll just watch TMS.

    1. “Not one of our idols can sing like they used to”.
Actually, Robin Zander still can and he even sounds better than he used to.
Can’t singing like they used to and sounding so hoarse and cracking right off the bat are different things. Paul is straining, cracking, has zero power – it’s painful to listen to. When they are charging the kind of money they are to see one of their shows, we have every right to bash.

    2. while you have been working very hard the last days or hours to creep right up Paul’s ….

    3. One may “demand” retirement if the price you pay is no longer in relation to the product you get. That is not bashing, that is just common sense. Why would we not ask for quality in a musical performance that costs 100 bucks when you are easily bashing food in a restaurant or whatever if the qulaity sucks. be realistic.

  4. I’ve been a fan since Destroyer and watching KISS on TV on the Paul Lynde Halloween Special.
Remember how cool KISS used to be? When I was a kid, they were dangerous, Gene was scary, the personas meant so much, they didn’t wear wigs, you didn’t know what they really looked like.
Now, you see Paul Stanley one day promoting his book without makeup, the next day he has a jet black huge wig on, a bra to cover his moobs and his voice is beyond terrible. Gene looks just ridiculous these days, his makeup looks bad and his costume is dumb, not like the scary cool demon of old. They are really dragging KISS through the mud at this point and they should have stopped after the Farewell tour and left fans wanting more and kept the mystique that KISS once had.
Interesting how it worked out, Ace Frehley is now actually coming out of this with his integrity and respect intact, while Gene and Paul look like greedy businessmen who just care about the money.
