ACE FREHLEY DEBUTS “FIRE AND WATER” MUSIC VIDEO FEATURING KISS FRONTMAN PAUL STANLEY, FIRST MUSIC VIDEO FEATURING ACE AND PAUL IN 18 YEARS

2014 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame member Ace Frehley today has debuted a brand new music video for his cover of Free’s 1970 hit Fire and Water featuring none other than KISS frontman Paul Stanley. The video is being premiered exclusively through VEVO, watch it below.

“It was great working with Paul again and all the years we’ve spent apart doing other projects seemed to vanish once we hit the stage!,” says Frehley.

The video notches itself into rock and roll history as the first time both Frehley and Stanley appear in a music video since KISS’ music video for Psycho Circus released in 1998. It’s also the first time in 14 years that the two shared a stage since KISS’ appearance at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. Finally, it’s the first time Frehley has released a music video since 1989, which was Frehley’s cover of Do Ya released by both The Move and ELO.

Earlier this week, Acw cracked the U.S. top 10 with his latest effort Origins: Vol. 1 charting at number one on the Billboard Hard Music Chart, number three on the Billboard Rock chart and number six on the Billboard Current Chart selling more than 16k units in its first week of release according to Nielsen Soundscan. Internationally, the LP most notably came in at number two on the Sweden Hard Rock Charts and at five on the England Indie Album Breaker Charts.

    1. He’s thinking ‘where’s my booze and my arthritis meds’?

I like this tune. I want to see Ace, Paul and Gene tour without make up – throw Singer in the lineup and call it KISS. I want to hear Ace sing Parasite, Cold Gin, 2000 Man, and Save Your Love. Hell throw in Torpedo Girl as well. I want to hear him do a duet with Gene on Rock and Roll Hell. I want to hear Flaming Youth, I Want You, Mr. Speed, I Stole Your Love and Is That You. I also want to hear Charisma, Naked City, Sweet Pain, and Watchin You. I want to hear Kissin Time. Give Ace the spotlight in KISS he’s craved. Give him some credibility in the band he helped create. I’ve hammered him plenty of times, but only cause I love him. This covers record is the best thing he has put out since the 1978 Solo Albums.

Oh ya, and while I’m at it, I want to hear Rip It Out, the greatest Ace Frehley song ever.

  1. Lol…it’s just funny, take away all of the bureaucracy that goes with ‘being Kiss’ and what we have is this great chemistry, i.e., why didn’t they just take this attitude with the Psycho Circus record?

I did get the feeling that Ace was re-applying for his old job when I saw him in Beverly Hills this March, and was very surprised that he had to cancel some shows, he was in great shape and played great.

    1. i was hanging out with him in nyc,and after the show he told me that he felt like s–t,he thought he was getting a cold, but hey were not kids anymore,he was sweating like a slave after the show,so im not suprised it caught up to him, plus all the press he has been doing,..
