AC/DC have released the following statement on their Facebook page:
“We’ve only become aware of Phil’s arrest as the news was breaking. We have no further comment. Phil’s absence will not affect the release of our new album Rock or Bust and upcoming tour next year.”
As previously reported, AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd had been arrested and charged with attempting to procure a murder, threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis. Read more about it here.

WOW! I’m sure he has the cash to pay for a murder, but damn. How can you be so financially well off and successful and hate someone that much?
Im’ sure he could have found a better way to make someone’s life miserable without killing them.
This totally sucks, first Malcolm and now Phil. And somebody beat me to the Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap jokes.
Longtime AC/DC FAN and drummer! I am available for the tour boys. Just message me and I will clear my calendar for the tour. No joke.
Sorry, I have to say it. I hope the jury doesn’t find him guilty and give him 16 years in hell.
I hope Phil gets his life straightened out. It’s more sad than anything else.
