WILL KISS BE RELEASING ANY NEW MUSIC BEFORE THEY WIND THEIR CAREER DOWN? PAUL STANLEY SAYS “WHAT’S THE POINT?”

KISS frontman Paul Stanley has ruled out the possibility of the band recording another studio album before they bring the curtain down on their career.

KISS announced they would head out on the End Of The Road farewell tour last month, saying they would “go out the same way we came in… unapologetic and unstoppable.”

Speaking at the Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp, Stanley was asked by radio host Miles Schuman if fans could expect any new material, from the band, before they hang it up.

Stanley replied, “No. I don’t think so. It’s a different time now. I could write Let It Be and people would still say, ‘That’s great. Now play Detroit Rock City.’

I understand it because when songs have a history with you, they’re like a snapshot of a time in your life – and that’s not something that anything can take the place of overnight.

It’s interesting that I think Modern Day Delilah or Hell Or Hallelujah are as good as anything we did, but I understand that people are more connected to those old classic songs.”

Stanley added, “If you put on a live video concert of any band – if you put on Paul McCartney or the Rolling Stones – and you turn off the volume, I will tell you every time they’re playing a new song, because the audience sits down.

When any classic act turns out new material, people tolerate it. They’re asking you to do it and they’re asking you to produce it, but at the same time, they really don’t want it.

At some point I go, ‘What’s the point?’ Unless it’s something that’s fulfilling for me to go back in the studio just to record new Kiss material, I think everything we’ve done so far speaks volumes and it’s enough of a legacy.”

I agree with Paul. Both he and Gene should keep any new material for new solo slbums after KI$$ ends.

Besides, I don’t want to be sickened by seeing Fake Ace and Fake Peter on a new KI$$ album cover.

Paul is delusional to think he can write a song like “Let It Be”….while a decent songwriter…remember, this is the guy who wrote “Let’s Put the X in Sex”. The best I could hope for is “Let It Be (The End).

Cannot wait until the final show when Starchild proves the following stage rap….

“People….I said people….I know some of you are sad we will be leaving the stage “Forever” – please don’t forget purchase your Kiss hankies at concessions – $10 per box…Now where was I….Oh yeah ….that right…our Kiss retirement…..Just because Gene and I are too old (and filthy rich) to rock the way we used to…..that doesn’t mean the Kiss Party needs to end….Who’s with me PEEEEEEOOOPPPLEEEE?!!??

Starting right after this tour….we have some new members to the family….and I do mean family….
After this tour….my boy Evan will play Starchild and Nick Simmons will play the Demon. Fake Ace and Peter will continue to play (since they are under contract thru 2055 under very reasonable rates!!! )

Let’s give everyone a big round of applause….let’s go….To Kiss Menudo!!!!!!

i’m just really sad that kiss has let what they used to be turn into the mess that they are now –
we obviously cant put ourselves inside paul and genes heads, kiss is their lifes work ,they love it and paul nurtured it ,took care of keeping the band alive – they should have let it end in 2005 when they were still great – when one of the most recognizable and amazing singers in rock music -loses his voice and ability
and couple that with he and gene getting older and not able to really move around anymore and really deliver- you take stock and decide to pack it in- tough decision or not – they didn’t do that, they milked the fans for every penny they could get -and that was wrong

No surprise here that he constantly declines the possibility of recording new songs – who should sing them? Him? Nope!! Have the 10k Dollar studio microphone record and expose all the little details of his croaking and yelling? No, thank you. And he knows, even though he won’t tell you 🙂 So hey, let’s make up some other reason … this is like all that rap he has been giving the fans and the press for too many years now. Stop that self-delusional banter and verbal smoke bombing and give us the details of the final tour already – who’s coming?
