Well, it looks like our very own Eddie Trunk was correct, and ahead of the curve, Guitar Player reports that joining Guns N’ Roses members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan onstage at Coachella, will be: keyboardist Dizzy Reed, multi-instrumentalist Chris Pitman, guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer.
According to Guitar Player, there is still no confirmation on the participation of Dave Kushner, the Velvet Revolver guitarist, who is rumored to be in the lineup. Nor have we heard confirmation that original drummer Steven Adler will be getting behind the set. Adler is reportedly in negotiations with the band.
The Coachella Music & Arts Festival is scheduled for April 15th-17th & April 22nd-24th in Indio, California. For more information about this event, please visit gunsnroses.com..

The concert is scheduled for mid-April, so I would expect GNR to take the stage sometime in late May.

I hope they give Adler a signable contract. This feels less like a business transaction with him on board. The guy is also an excellent drummer.
Can we not start with this nonsense, please? A “signable contract” is a bulls–t excuse put forth by Bill Ward to save face, and nothing more. ALL contracts are “signable contracts” if you’re willing to accept the terms. Fact of the matter here is, having Stephen Adler there does not increase the revenue ONE SINGLE BIT. Axl/Slash/Duff are going to take home x amount of dollars with or without Stephen Adler. He’s got zero leverage, and brings zero from that perspective to the table. if they offer him an opportunity to come onstage, be it to wave to the crown, play an encore, or something more, he ought to take it for the gift it is, and leave his ego at the door.
Guns were fantastic with DJ Ashba & Bumblefoot so that shouldn’t be an issue!! They exploded on stage at the stroke of 11 and stayed for 3+ hours!!! I’d love for there to be some new music with this “reunion”…..
Seen same line up at Fillmore in Miami 2012. Came on Midnight until 3am. Great show.
Same experience at the Electric Factory in Philly. 11:00 sharp, and three plus hours (straight through) of excellent rock. Axl sounded awesome that show.
I would be surprised if this didn’t spawn a limited tour of some kind. There are not that many rock bands that can fill arenas these days, but these guys are one of them. A tour with VH (Michael Anthony included) would be nice. It would also be nice to remind people why this music rightfully ruled the planet, and hasn’t been matched since. Oh what the hell, while I’m on fantasy island, throw Aerosmith and Black Star Riders on the tour as well! 😉
