SINGER CARRIE UNDERWOOD SAYS SHE WOULD LOVE TO SING WITH GUNS N ROSES FRONTMAN AXL ROSE

AxlRose Country singer Carrie Underwood was recently interviewed by E!Online, and when asked if there was anyone she still want to sing with?, she replied:

“I really want to sing with Axl Rose at some point in my life. I’ve covered enough Guns N’ Roses stuff and it was people like him who taught me how to sing. They were so different. I look at people like him and Freddie Mercury, those people who were doing all these crazy runs. It was so different.”

As previously reported, rumors are running rampant that the classic Guns N’ Roses lineup will reuniting for a tour. Time will tell if those rumblings turn out to be true.

  1. While I am not a fan of country music at all, I am a HUGE fan of Carrie Underwood and her voice. While many people may poo poo American Idol, I think they produced two of the best female singers ever: Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

I know both Clarkson and Underwood are fans of hard rock and heavy metal, and if any female singers, other than maybe Christina Aguilera, could do the genre justice, it would be them.

    D 🙂

    1. Surprisingly, Fergie did a killer lead vocal on Slash’s first solo album.

Hearing her vocals in the Black Eyed Peas, I never would’ve guessed she could belt it out like that.

    2. Yes, I know all about Fergie. 🙂 Eddie was raving about her vocal on that album and said it might have been his favorite.

Fergie is also a rock fan and has a powerful voice, she used to be in a girl band called Wild Orchid. But to me, there is something about tone and power of Clarkson’s and Underwood’s voices that I really love and admire. Jennifer Nettles is another one who shocked me and can basically sing anything.

    3. I’d love to hear Fergie to do proper rock album.

For females in rock, I also really like the groups Blood Ceremony and Purson. The later recently toured the US with Ghost.

As long as Jennifer Nettles isn’t on anymore Bon Jovi songs. 🙂

Sorry, that wasn’t really meant as a dig to Nettles. She does have a good voice even if her music isn’t my cup of coffee. But I couldn’t stand that “Who Says You Can’t Go Home?” song. But, that’s not really her fault she guested on a post 2000 BJ song.

    4. What about that big black guy who won and never did anything? What was his name? Axl should work with him. Although the catering budget might have to increase. They could do Ebony and Ivory. Could be ‘huge’.

    5. Totally agree, Dana. While hard rock and heavy metal is my love, Carrie and Kelly are awesome, with Carrie my favorite. And let’s be honest, Idol has produced some really good hard rock singers: Adam Lambert, David Cook, James Durbin, Chris Daughtry and Carly Smithson from the band We Are The Fallen. Axl better practice to keep up with Ms. Underwood. That would be cool performance, hope it happens.

    6. I agree just listened to the sweet child o mine clip she does it justice
Not really big fan of idol seems that the ones that don’t Win with exception of Underwood and Clarkson seem to do better than the winners

    1. I agree, they were the two best.

However, Jennifer Hudson is a dynamo, and I saw Jordon Sparks sing the National Anthem before one the NFL games recently, and she did a great job. Also, I really dug Caleb Johnson, but to each their own.

      D 🙂

    2. I don’t think any of them “sucked”. The first few had success that most of the others did not. Winning really didn’t mean anything.

Look at Adam Lambert. He didn’t win. Can you name the guy that won that season without google? Nope, me either.
